Lesson One (First years)

Asric walked into the classroom shutting all the windows and blacking them out with a flick of his wand. Once he had reached the professors desk his flicked his wand once more bringing to life a few of the candles so the students would have a little light to see as they made their way in. Now he just had to wait for them to arrive.

Genevieve entered the Occlumency classroom quietly noticing that only Headmaster Chaos was there and took a seat at the front of the classroom nodding her head politely in greeting before taking her equipment out of her bag.

Seth made his way to Occulumency thinking along the way what this class held in store for him. He had many things he didn't want others to know so hopefully this class would help keep prying minds out. As he entered the room he noticed the almost claustrophobic-like atmosphere of the room. He saw that there was a girl from Slytherin sitting up front so he took a seat in the middle. As he sat down he said "Hello Professor."

Damian eagerly entered the Occlumency classroom. Granted, he knew that some things he'd rather not be revealed would have to be discovered by someone while learning the art, but it would be worth it. Besides, it was mostly bullying at the hands of the muggle kids in his neighborhood; though embarrassing, Damian really didn't consider that stuff terribly personal. Other stuff... well, there wasn't much he was determined to keep secret, just yet.

Damian halted in surprise when he saw the headmaster near the desk at the front of the dimly lit room. Wasn't some other professor teaching this class? His puzzlement was soon forgotten, however, as he excitedly made his way up to the man.

"Hello, sir!" he greeted. "I'm still in one piece!" He laughed, holding his arms out as though for inspection, then added in a whisper. "And the muggles left me alone after you... 'talked' to them." Damian grinned, partly at the memory and partly because he was in the very place where he could learn how to cast those spells, himself.

Scarlet skipped happily, as this was one of her most awaited lessons ever since she received her Hogwarts letter. This will help her control her mind reading - she's sure of it. And, if ever she'd been a good student for the whole term, she just might get a few tips from the professor as to how Legilimency really works.

She bowed and smiled towards the professor and took a seat.

He smiled and patted Damian on the shoulder. "Good i'm pleased to hear of it. Seems the muggles weren't as stupid as they looked." He smiled glancing down at his watch. "Right let's begin i think we've waited long enough don't you?" He said flicking his wand so that the door closed leaving the room in dull candle lighting.

"Today we will be learning to clear your minds. Now everyone close your eyes and clear your mind. Release all thoughts from your mind and concentrate on your breathing. In... and out. In... and out." He said walking around looking at each student in turn to make sure they were doing as he asked.

Damian smiled back at the man and happily took a seat near the front. Closing his eyes, he drew in a deep breath, trying not to think of anything...

Which naturally meant that he started to think about everything he was trying to clear from his mind.

He breathed out. Damian turned his attention to attempting to focus on nothing. This could take awhile...

Genevieve closed her eyes and attempted to clear her mind as the Proffesor instructed however she couldn't manage to get all the thoughts to stop whizzing around her head and tried to think of a different strategy.
'Maybe if I try and think of a white wall that will help' she pondered to herself before shrugging her shoulders and trying. This attempt was much more succesful but thoughts kept trickling into her mind regardless.

Scarlet sighed happily and smiled. I guess I should just do what he has instructed and talk to him after class, she thought, and her very last as she started breathing in and out.

In and out... In and out...

Seth sat there and listening to the Professors instructions intently. When the professor was done Seth tried to clear his mind. Slow breathing he thought, in and out...in and out.... Nothing was working though. He thought about trying to visualize a black hole empty and devoid of any light, color, nothing but black. As he sat there his mind eventually cleared until he was surrounded by nothing but silence and blackness.

Miles listened closely to the Professor's instrcutions, he close his eyes his mind was clear, then thoughts of books danced in his head, he quickly refoucesed. He did it Miles mind was blank once more
