Coming to Terms Empty Coming to Terms

Aireon walked into the common room. He set his books down by the couch as he reclined on it. He unseated his sword and ignited a fire in the fire place. Setting his sword down on the table, he simply stared into the fire and thought about the course his life had taken.

He grew up in a fortress. It was more like a fortified and hidden city. Its halls would be filled with people walking around in white cloaks. He had many friends there and was the top fighter. Every Sunday, He'd attend the church there, for these people knew the truth of the universe and God. He missed everything in that part of his life. That night when those wraiths attacked took away the old Aireon and left a new and more secretive him.

Now he was at Hogwarts. He'd made acquaintance with a few people, but he never found any true friends yet. But that was his secretive side. He thought that if he told them his story, they'd turn away from him. Well, since that boggart lesson, Aireon was sure just about everybody knew.

Lately, he'd become even more withdrawn. He hoped to find some friends soon.

Charlotte walked into the common room, her heavy bag dragging her down. She threw her bag on the floor and plopped down on the couch, sighing. She hated homework and although it was her second year at Hogwarts, she wasn't used to this amount yet and just wanted to throw it all into the the fireplace.

Char looked around and saw a boy sitting by himself. She shrugged, deciding to talk to him since she didn't know many people. He looked older than her, that and because she had never seen him in her classes.

"Hey, I'm Charlotte," she introduced herself.

Sophie walked in, trying desperately not to cry. She saw two students already sitting in the common room and found a quiet corner, away from them, where she could cry and think. Why was everyone so mean to her? She didn't think it was because she was a Slytherin. No, it must be because she was reading all the time and was so smart. She had never been very popular at her old Muggle primary school, but she was never bullied! Ignoring the two students, who were looking at her with a question on their faces, Sophie got her homework out and started it.

Iris woke up from the buzzing sound in the common room and saw other students on the other side. She stretched and let Vee wander for now. She scratched her tired eyes and decided to make some more Slytherin friends. She walked towards them and gave her usual grin. "Hey Char! Remember me? Can I join you two?" asked Iris like she hadn't been asleep before. She then noticed a quiet girl around the corner and sighed. She would feel sorry for people who would always be a loner (she also felt her emotions). She waited for the reply to her question and if they'd don't approve, she still has another choice to befriend the shy girl. Two students here are not quite familiar to her. They can be different years than us.

"Yeah, sure go ahead!" Charlotte smiled. "What's up?" She asked.

Iris grinned again and took a seat. "School work of course. Pretty boring actually. You? How's it going?"

"Same thing basically," Char shrugged, and smiled back at her. "Nothing interested has happened lately though... I'm glad we finally have a Potions teacher though! Don't you find it kind of weird that teachers just disappearing?"
