Karma was pacing.
Back and forth in front of the fire, one of her daggers flipping between her fingers, barely touching them. Her other hand was fisted at her lips, as she contemplated the changes in her. During the break, when they'd killed that muggle family, she'd let her other conscience take over, and it had done well, in the situation, somewhat, after she'd done the killing. She was trying to decide which was more vampiric, her or the other her.
What were the differences? She wondered. What did she like that her other self didn't?
Chocolate.
She reached in her pocket for a chocolate frog, and took a bite of its head. It stopped moving instantly. She ate the rest of the chocolate thoughtfully, the dagger still going from finger to finger.
The card was Draco Malfoy.
She frowned and pulled another one out, using the dagger to open it before stowing the blade away in her robes. She held the frog firmly, bringing it to her lips before letting her other conscience take over.
The change was immediate, and suddenly she felt a strong adversion to the thing in her hand. She threw it away from her, and into the fire. She hated Chocolate. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a Red Vine. She stuck it into her mouth like a cigar and smirked a great big smirk at a passing First year. The firstie skuttled away into the hallway, cringing.
Her smile widened as she watched the terrified classmate. It would only have been better if it'd been a Gryffindor. With a frown, she finished the Red Vine and became herself again, reaching for a Chocolate Frog and watching the Chocolate Frog Card in the Fire slowly burn to a crisp.
So, her other half didn't like Chocolate. That's a shame. She loved Chocolate.
