Crossroads (Arsen/ Djinn)

The demon watched dispassionately for several minutes, observing his son's reaction to the hellfire. Snapping his fingers, the flames vanished.

"We'll work up to it." No point in damaging the boy, after all. He wanted him in one piece. "Conjure fire," he directed.

He let out a little sigh of relief as the fire vanished, it would take time to get used to that heat just as it had with fiendfyre. His weak human body could only take so much at a time, which made him disgusted. He couldn't stand being stuck in a body this fragile.

When asked too he held out his hand and made it spring to live with fiend fyre, somehow he didn't think normal fire would cut it. Not after seeing the hells fire.

Djinn gave a nod. "Fiendfyre. Hottest flames accessible to mortals." He clapped a hand on Arsen's shoulder. "Work up to hellfire. When you can conjure that, call me."

Turning, the demon lifted his face towards the sky and drew in a deep breath. He vanished in a cloud of sulfurous black smoke before he'd finished inhaling.
