Friendly drink (Nova and Cobie)

Cobalt sighed a little as he took a table at the Leaky Cauldron. He'd not been in here much lately and he missed the old place. With that in mind he'd decided to have a nostalgic drink at the pub where he'd first gotten drunk.

Well, that and his latest target liked to eat here.

Sniffing around with his enhanced nose, Cobalt sighed a little in disappointment. The target wasn't here and hadn't been here in days by the smell of it. Unless something else happened tonight he was just going to have this one, very disgusting, pint of larger and then he'd go home.

Nova walked in and almost fainted - the smell of the Leaky Cauldron was disgusting. Everything looked weirder, enhanced, it was torturing her a bit.

She barely made it to a free spot in the corner.

What is wrong with me, she wondered.

Cobalt was just finishing his pint when he smelt a familiar scent. Immediately on his guard, Cobalt sniffed a few times more. In his line of work, a familiar scent was very bad. After a few moments though he found that it belonged to someone he had seen somewhere before. Deciding that it couldn't be too bad to go talk to them, Cobalt moved over to a corner table and smiled lightly,

"You get used to the smell." he told the woman before gesturing at the chair opposite her, "Would you mind the company?"

The man guessed her thoughts perfectly. She didn't feel like being alone, especially on a rainy day like this.

"I feel like I'm going faint",she said to him weakly. "Go ahead, sit down, I can use the company."

She ordered something that had no smelt at all, and tried to drink it but it was too disgusting to drink.

"I don't know whats wrong with me these days, I feel awful", Nova pointed out to this stranger.

Cobalt sat down and looked at her with a sad smile,

"Thanks." he tilted his head to the side as he looked at her, "You've got bags under your eyes... you've not been sleeping well. You're body language suggests pain or discomfort in the stomach. Slight swaying suggests feeling faint."

He held up a finger and sniffed once. Immediately, Cobalt knew what was 'wrong' with her but she, obviously, didn't. He chuckled a little,

"You'll be fine." he grinned, "In a few months."

"Yes, you got it all right!", she proclaimed in shock.

She wondered how this awfully familiar men knew all of this.
"In a few months?", she wondered out loud, "No, I think it will pass in a hour or so. Maybe I ate something wrong. Or maybe I didn't ate anything. To be completely true I can't remember."

Nova buried her face in her palms. "Talk about a face palm", she said very shyly.

Cobalt chuckled a little,

"It's all in your body language." he told her quietly, "Everything is."

He shrugged,

"The symptoms will go away in a few hours." he agreed before smirking, "The cause won't I'm afraid."

Looking at her, with her face on the table, Cobalt chuckled,

"Don't take this the wrong way... but you're a very strange person."

She smiled a little.

"This is what you get from a messed up family, you know. I'm weird and all, but you should see my brother Joshua, wow, he is weird!"

"Wait, what you're saying is... no, it can't be, it just can't! It was a mistake, just that one time, no, it's not true, how would you know, no..."

The girl started shaking and whispered something frantically.

Cobalt chuckled a little,

"I don't know... I think weirdness comes from the person alone sometimes." he stuck his tonuge out at her, I mean look at me! I'm weird and my parents were perfectly normal."

Cobalt paused a little and sniffed again, just to make sure. Yup. There it was. The scent of a woman who was with child. It was a very odd scent, like two scents mixed together,

"Yeah... sorry." he patted her on the shoulder, "The pain and stomach aches will be gone in 8 to 9 months."

She fainted.

Cobalt caught the woman as she fell, getting a few odd looks as he did so. He shrugged at the people,

"She just found out she's pregnant." he told them with a shrug, "Give her a break."

Deciding that it was time to wake her up, Cobalt slapped her lightly on the cheeks,

"Wakey wakey."

It didn't hurt her at all, that slapping on her face that woke her up.

"A few weeks ago I was saving myself for marriage and now I'm pregnant and it's just too complicated."

Nova almost cried, but she suppressed that emotion and laughed instead. "I really am weird. Laughing in this kind of situation. And guess what? I don't even know who the father is."

She laughed and laughed and laughed until at the end she started to cry. "I can't remember what happened that night, I don't know if I wanted it or not, I completely blacked out!"

Cobalt helped her to her feet with a small smile,

"I'm afraid that most things in life are a bit too complicated to deal with. It's why we deal with things slowly. Don't worry, you've got 9 months to sort it out."

He ruffled her hair a little,

"We laugh to keep from crying apparently." he told her comfortingly, "As for the father... well do you really need to know? You have a bundle of joy on it's way. You can raise it to be your child. Believe me... nothing is more rewarding than being a parent."

She couldn't understand why she trusted this stranger so much. It was like he knew everything, and that would probably bother her, if she wasn't in a dead end situation.

"Who says I'm keeping it?", she asked him angrily.

Cobalt raised an eyebrow at her angry tone,

"Aren't you?" he asked quietly, "You didn't seem like the sort to consider abortion."

"You are right, I'm sorry", she responded apologetically. "I think this baby is affecting me already. Do pregnant women get mood swings?"

She looked at him like he had answers to all of the questions in the world and then she leaned on his shoulder.
