Tell the world we're coming home (OPEN)

Melanie had dragged her heavy trunk into the very first empy compartment she had found, it was way too heavy for her to try and go look for some friends so she hoped her friends would just find her instead, she hated arriving alone.

She didn't bother to try and lift the trunk up so instead she stuffed it under a bench and sat down on said bench, looking at the doors as if she was waiting for some of her friends to come stumbling in any second.

Kenzi entered the first compartment she saw, her Hufflepuff robes dragging behind her like a train on someone's wedding gown. The tailor that measured her robes had been off by five inches, but it was partly Mr. Faraday's fault for causing such an error. He thought she would grow taller by the end of the year. Kenzi thought it too, but not by five inches.

In the compartment, she saw another blonde girl she had seen - or maybe it was heard - somewhere before. She was in her year, that she knew, and she had her Ravenclaw robes on. Yay! thought Kenzi. A friend!

"Hello there!" grinned Kenzi. "I'm Kenzi Faraday."

Rowen trudged down the train hoping to find a compartment. She was just happy to be getting away from her family. She loved them so much, but sometimes it was hard living with them. They were muggles and for the longest time, everyone just thought her to be weird, or a freak as her siblings liked to call her. Rowen had been relieved when she got her letter and even more relieved when someone from Hogwarts had come to confirm it. Though it probably would have come as less of a shock had it not been Professor Flitwick who delivered the news. She liked Professor Flitwick though so she didn't mind.

Her family had been skirting around her for the last month, shooting her guilty looks. She was just happy that she got to get away from them. She entered what appeared to be an empty compartment only to see two other girls there. They looked a bit older than her; fourteen or fifteen at the most.

"Sorry. Do you mind if I sit here? Everywhere else is full," she said with a small smile.
