Snapping Open (Bri and Jack)

Briony was having a very, very bad day.

It wasn't getting any better.

Walking through the streets of London she found a place that sold food and alcohol and walked briskly inside, sitting at the bat she glowered at the wood of the tabs but she soon found that she was getting ignored by the large bald man.

"Oi. You. I am here you know!" she growled

To which she got the finger. And Briony snapped. She completely lost it.

Walking swiftly behind the bar Briony grabbed the man by the wrist, smiled sickly, and thrust him up against the wall with that one flick of her wrist, biting her lip she let the shadows crawl up the muggles arm, scaring him witless, and the other patrons.

As they tried to escape Briony growled and her eyes flashed, automatically locking the doors and thrusting sharp spikes of shadows into the lead muffles chests much to the despair of the people they were here with. The rest cowered in the corner and Briony groaned unhappily.

"Will you SHUT UP! I just wanted a FUCKING DRINK!"

Jack and his strike team had been cruising around the streets of London dressed in their best kit for a long time now. They were all getting a bit restless by the time the call came in over the dispatch radio.

A small but popular bar was the source of a lot of panic. The police had tried, unsuccessfuly, to get into the bar but all they could do was wait outside. It seemed that all of the doors and windows had suddenly locked themselves and become massively more sturdy.

Almost like magic.

From there it was a quick hop over to the bar in the high tech van that the strike team were using. Jack loaded his combat shotgun and filled up the loop with ammo so that it would automatically reload one shell at a time. He was dressed all in black with a face mask, just like the rest of his team. His body armour was slightly more advanced than the models they were using though. Crematic armour was all well and good but when you had access to Dragonhide as well, you were pretty much gauranteed that nothing short of armour piercing rounds were getting through to you.

Arriving at the pub, Jack jumped out of the back of the van, his six strike team members with him. Moving to the front door, with his team in cover around the door, Jack flicked on the flashlight at the end of his shotgun, as did all of his team members. Taking a deep breath, Jack shot the handle and lock out of the front door at the same time his team members shot the hinges out. Kicking the broken door in, Jack moved forwards with the rest of his team, taking cover behind a booth,

"Get down on the ground and kick your wand to me!"

Briony growled and as soon as the door opened she closed her eyes and let the shadows store up in her eyes, closing her sense of sight but enhancing everything else so that when she threw up a blanket of shadows around the room, so thick you couldn't see Briony herself, could.

Keeping silent Briony moved swiftly, directing magic to the soles of her feet as she ran, silently towards the muges who had just entered and she took one by the neck thrusting him up against the wall as a flurry of shadows crept into his veins slowly ripping him apart for his friends to hear.

Briony looked at the men.

She smirked.

Growling again she opened her arms wide and sent a flurry of spikes, resembling senbon into their bodies, ripping their clothes from them in a flurry so that they were left, quite naked and Briony snickered.

"Impressive. Not."

Jack swore a little at how he could hear his men being killed but couldn't see where exactly the witch was in the shadows. It was easy to get a general idea of where she was however. How many shadows are thick enough to hide from a high powered torch after all? Of course it wasn't that simple. He might end up hitting his men.

As he heard another one of his men die, along with a cruel taunt, Jack decided that he really didn't care. He only really liked Jenkins and he was dead from what he could tell. Cocking his shotgun, Jack took aim at the most dense area of the shadows and began firing shotgun blast after shotgun blast into the area at random. The bitch would have to get hit at some point after all.

This was completely an unknown area of combat to him right now. The witch had encased herself in shadows so that he couldn't see where the hell she was. That alone was bad but from what he'd seen when she'd killed the bartender, she could control the shadows more than that as well. Of course, Jack had some tricks of his own.

Reaching into his backpack, Jack thanked god for his protective mask covering his eyes as he threw several flashbang grenades in all directions. The light would blind her unless she was blind already but the sound (blocked by his high tech ear plugs) would deafen her regardless.

Briony did not expect to hear or feel the shockwaves from bullets in the air and she had To take drastic action, standing completely still and, however disgusting it might seem using the body of a man she had just killed as a sort of meat shield.

Hissing as she felt one of the bullets hit the man and almost go through him to hit her in the chest and she grinned softly, she knew she had him running scared.

Briony, thankfully, had no sight at the moment so the blinding light from the grenades was missed from her vision but the sound however she could do nothing about except after the first grenade went off and performing the bubble head charm Briony staggered a bit, feeling sick.

With that Briony withdrew all of the shadows around her into a swirling mass of dark and she could see clearly the men around her, not many, this would ne a peice of cake to her, only five left including the one who was in charge.

"Hello boys

She grinned and Briony tilted her head to one side, shadows curling even more, her corset tight and her ripped jeans ripped even more from battle Briony grinned and slowly beckoned them forward with her finger, quite seductively.

Jack was glad that five of his men were still up and alive. When the first flash bang went off he called them over to him, presenting a wall of weapons against the witch in front of them. But when she staggered out of the shadows the first thought that ran through Jack's mind was,

Now there's a creature just built for some loving.

Despite his body's rather obvious reaction, Jack showed no outward signs of noticing her attractiveness other than a small smirk as his eyes danced up and down her figure. Seeing that she didn't appear to be using her wand for this magic, he assumed that she was doing some kind of wandless trick. One of the men, a rookie, moved towards the witch with his gun lowered. Jack, although admitting that the witch was incredibly sexy, was not one to tolerate mutiny in the pursuit of some witch's ass to tap. Without hesitating he fired, blowing the young man's brains across the bar.

His other man perked up a little, knowing that he'd do exactly the same to them if they defected for some hot witch. Jack pumped his shotgun,

"Yer a fine sigh' ter behol' ter witchie." he complimented her with another glance up and down her body, "But I'm afraid yer gunna have ter come with us. Before or after I shoo' yer is up te yer. Comin' quietly?"

Briony could see that they were quite attracted to her but she shrugged her shoulders, it was up to them if they decided that they were going to be distracted by how she looked, if she had been ugly they may have been more focused.

"Now! I know what im dealing with...."

Shaking her head Briony grinned wider and she moved slowly forward, heading towards the bar but never taking her eyes off them for one moment.

"I only wanted a drink, but it seems you muggles don't even know how to pour a proper drink when I ask."

Briony winked at the man who seemed the be in charge and she moved artfully behind the bar, pouring herself a shot of vodka and throwing in back, licking her lips Briony smirked wider and she threw the shot away.

"You're going to shoot me? Oh you bad boy." Briony pouted "No I don't think I will."

Jack frowned a little bit as the witch in front of them started to act casual, as if they weren't a threat. He knew that if he pulled the trigger right now however that she wouldn't be fast enough to stop it. But he was reluctant to pull the trigger. He wasn't even sure why, for once he seemed to be in control of his hormones,

"Are yer sure abou' tha' darlin'?"

He really wasn't happy with being underestimated, especially by a witch. Magicals rubbed him the wrong way pretty damn quick. As she moved closer to the bar, he motioned for his men not to shoot just yet,

"Tends te help if yer don't kill te bartender. Otherwise yer drink's gunna be taking a real long time."

Jack caught the wink she sent him and had to admit that she was looking more and more alluring with every action. Aside from killing Jenkins. Killing Jenkins had made him more than a bit annoyed. He was fun to be around after all but now he was dead. Watching he down the shot, Jack shrugged a little,

"No. I'm not gunna shoo' yer." he signalled with his right hand, "Tey are."

All five of his men opened fire at his signal, automatic weapons blazing.

Briony stood by the bar and watched as the five men suddenly opened fire and she wished that she had taken more out while she was in control of the shadows but with a swift movement and only getting hit a few times Briony sent her shadows into the mens eyes, blinding them.

Silent now Briony looked at the men and while she had the chance moved her hands apart and directed the shadows into spikes which she sent flurrying through the air and towards the men on the other side.

Each spike then splitting into several more spikes Bruony grinned as she had to keep dodging bullets that kept flying but mostly in the spot where she had been stood not where she was now, the spikes hit and rooted the men to the floor and Briony lifted the shadows from their eyes so they could see.

"You're boring. I thought you'd be more interesting than this to be honest."

As she spoke the bullets pushed themselves out of her body and she grinned.

Jack sighed a little as the bullets failed to kill the witch and his men seemed to be the ones that died instead. He rubbed at his nose and dropped his combat shotgun onto one of the corpses that had been one of his men not two seconds ago,

"Jaysus Chris'... tese guys were worse tan te las' lot." he muttered to himself before turning to the witch. He shrugged a little as he removed two knives from their sheaths, a machette and a combat knife, "I don't suppos' yer'd be willing to drop yer shadowy stuff and jus' have a plain ol' knife figh' ter te death?"

Briony couldn't help but snort indignantly as the man said that these men were worse than the last lot and she nodded her head, to tell the truth, she had had closer fights in a bar than this.

"There were, for all intensive purposes, pretty crap. You really need to get yourself some better men before you get killed."

Tilting her head to one side Briony dropped the shadows but kept some absorbed into her skin just incase she needed them during the fight, being original and in her opinion better head of Slytherin, she wasn't above cheating.

"Oh now wait, you wont have time, you're getting killed right now, maybe leave a memo for whoever is in charge."

Briony took out her knife, it was shorter than the mans but that didn't matter, it was how you used it, not what the yeild of the blade was. Stepping towards him with her eyes narrowed Briony grinned.

"You're talking to the muggle duelling professor here, best person to come to for a fight, you best be pretty good."

Jack shook his head, moving one of the men's arms out of his way with his foot. The witch was right, these guys were just pathetic. With allies this weak, his enemies didn't even have to be strong to walk all over their squads,

"Tis is jus' embarassin' though..." he muttered before sighing, "Tes' guys would ge' beaten by yer school kids..."

Jack saw the shadows receed but he'd seen enough of the magical world to know that at least some of them prized being able to bring their tricks back out at a moment's notice so he was careful,

"Yer soun' pretty confiden'..." he smiled a little, "Especially when yer playin' on me own groun' girlie."

Her knife was short so that meant she most likely focused of fast attacks, and lots of them, before going in for the kill. That was perfectly fine by Jack, as the back of his combat knife was serated to act like a small saw, but in a fight it was a great way to catch your oppenent's blade when they came close. And the witch would have to come close seeing as her arms were shorter than his. At the mention of her position, Jack snorted,

"Yer talk big bu' yer ain't got anyting I ain't seen before in a knife figh'." he grinned as well as he sank into a ready position, his machette held in his right hand and his combat knife held in a reverse grip in his left, "Bring wha' yer go' lil girlie."

Briony grinned as she looked at Jack, there really was nothing she liked about this man, he was cocky and arrogant and in need of taking down a peg or two, maybe even down the whole rung and out.

"Oh really? You haven't even begun to fight me. You're just using your words to intimidate me, like a person afraid to begin."

She knew this would give her a run for her money, the guy was fit, no denying that but she was fitter, she knew it and she also knew that this man would be dead by the end of this fight if she had anything to do with it.

"Shall I begin?"

Briony without waiting for a reply charged into a fight her small knives slashing away at the mans throat, one aiming high, the other slashing low, aiming for his main arteries and veins, hoping to nick one.

Lifting one leg Briony brought it to crack down on his knee cap and she made a swift jab upwards to his chin, her knife held upwards in her hands, hoping to spear him on it and end this.
