Family: Her mother is a pureblood from Chicago and her father's a muggle-born from England
Personal: She was born in Gary, Indiana, and moved to Michigan at the age of seven, where her mother worked as a journalist for a nearby wizard newspaper, and her father was an auror. When she turned eleven, her parents sent her to live with her aunt in England so she could attend Hogwarts, where her father was a professor for a few years before he moved to the U.S. Once the conflicts began between muggles and wizards, her parents took sides as well, with her mother siding with the anti-muggle agenda and her father preferring peace between both groups. By the time she started to attend Hogwarts, her parents had split up.
