Refreshment (Open)

Jamie walked into the tea shop and ordered a mint tea and waited. When she got handed her tea she took a seat at an empty table and took a sip of it. School stressed her out but it was what she had to do, until she was 17.

What the hell am I doing in a tea shop? Iris asked herself as she entered the shop. It was definitely not her type of place but she figured she might as well try it out. Not knowing what to order, she looked around the place, seeing if anyone needed some company. She spotted a girl sitting by herself and walked over to her.

"Hey, mind if I join you?" Iris asked with a friendly grin.

Jamie looked up and nodded. "Yeah sure sit" Jamie said watching as the girl took a seat. "By the way I'm Jamie Malfoy, and you are" Jamie asked.

"I'm Iris Grayson," she introduced herself as she took a seat. "You're not a third year, are you? I don't remember seeing you in any of my classes." She smiled. "So, do you often come here? This is my first visit to a tea shop, though it really isn't my type of place."

Jamie took a drink of her tea. "No I'm a second year Slytherin and this is my first time being here also" Jamie said looking at Iris.

"Slytherin, huh? Glad to know you don't believe in house rivalry." Iris commented with a grin. She had an experience of it just a few days back and even though she could ignore it, she didn't want a repeat of that.

"So, where are you from?" Iris asked, attempting to ignite a conversation.

"Yeah my whole family was in Slytherin and no I have no problem with the fact that your a Gryffindor. I'm from England, what about you" Jamie asked as she took a sip of her drink.

"I'm from Ireland but I currently live in the States because that's where my...adopted parents are." Iris replied a bit hesitancy. She hated to tell people that she was adopted, even though it was the truth.

"So, you have any siblings?" She asked curiously.

Jamie was a little shocked to no that she was adopted. "I'm sorry about that, and yes I have an older half-brother but he is my age but he is older, I no confusing and I have a little sister" Jamie replied. "What about you" Jamie asked.

Iris waved her hand dismissively. "Oh it's okay, I've been adopted lots of times actually because each couple can't bear to have me more than six months." She grinned lightly. "And that's because I cause a lot of trouble for them."

"How can he be your age yet older?" She asked Jamie curiously. "Well, I just found out a few days that I have a twin sister." She admitted. "Though it was a bit too shocking. Plus, she goes to Durmstrang."

Jamie smiled at that. "That sounds cool, he is older then me because my father got drunk one night and sleep with someone and she ended up pregnant then like a month after that she got pregnant with me" Jamie shrugged.

Jamie thought about what she said. "You cause trouble too, sounds like you and I will get along just fine" Jamie sipped her drink and smiled.

"You mean, your father was married when he slept with someone else?" Iris asked, hint of surprise in her voice. "Sorry for being so nosy, but that's how usually I am." She smiled slightly.

"Oh, nice to meet another troublemaker!" She exclaimed with a grin. "So you're more of a nuisance than your brother?" She asked Jamie teasingly.

Jamie laughed. "Yes he was married and I did the same thing when I found out" Jamie said pointing to Iris's surprised look. "Yes I am a trouble maker and proud of it, yes I am more of a nuisance then my brother" Jamie said proudly.
