Quiet ll Open

Peace.

Quiet.

This was just what she needed. Things have been hectic in Durmstrang, and she was getting tired of it. She sighed and leaned against a pillar.

Vala murmured a quiet nox as she reached the innermost chambers of the catacombs, seeking an answer to the question posed to her again and again: her dreams in which everything was darkness - what did they mean?

Yet, even the dark recesses of the catacombs failed to match the permeating blackness that haunted her sleep from time to time.

"This is stupid," she muttered to herself, holding her wand up again. "Lumos."

She frowned, and brought out her wand. Liath woke from her nap and flickered her tongue. 'A human girl' She hissed. She nodded.

"Who is there?" She asked.

Vala turned towards the voice, not overly surprised to find someone else was there. The catacombs were rather more popular than one might suspect for the resting place of the dead.

"Well, clearly, I am," she said with a light smirk. Her hazel eyes studied the girl. "Durmstrang student aren't you? I saw you in the Great Hall and about."

She frowned. "Yes, Fourth year Hrabrost. What about you? I haven't seen you since school started again... you graduated didn't ya?" She asked, leaning against the pillar again. Liath flickered her tongue at the girl.

Vala gave an arrogant of her head. "But of course," she replied. "I was Uchitel, until last year. I am rather glad I'm done with my schooling, now, though. All that learning was becoming quite tedious." The fact that she had, in fact, remained to take over for the previous librarian negated her words, however. Pretty and vain, Vala was most certainly, but stupid and ignorant, she wasn't.

"Fourth year is a good year, though. Half-way finished, after all."

She shrugged. "I don't like the work part of it, but it will be worth it some day, right?" She laughed. "I don't want to be like my mother who is sitting in a one bedroom home hopping from one boyfriend to the next." She grinned.

"I agree. Nobody calls you a midgit, or you are finally old enough to participate in some stuff." She paused. "Like drinking." She grinned.

Vala gave a light laugh. "Well, that certainly is true. I wouldn't be caught drinking, however.

"So, I don't believe we've ever properly met. I'm Vala. You are?"

She shook her head. "I would.. numorous times I am sure." She laughed.

"I am Kaitlen, call me Kait." She grinned.
