Sugar Coated (Open)

Alyssa was sad to have made an enemy, because from the slight glimse of the sencere, and vulnerable Iva showed that she wasnt all mean. But Alyssa just reminded herself that you can't be friends with everyone, and then she thought about all she had said. She felt horrible, but didnt show it. She made a mental note to practice Occlumency when she was angry, to get her emotions under control. Just thinking about what could have happened if she had lost control of her anger made her shiver, Honeydukes would have housed a mini tornado. When she lost control of her anger, the wind would go crazy around her.
"I'm sorry, I wish I had thought before I said anything." Alyssa then turned back to face the line, intent on not showing any emotion at all, so she wouldnt have to worry about loosing control. The only good thing was Casey was there, she could help Alyssa sarted to loose it. Casey was one of the only ones who could, because of her ability with emotions.

Laedin nodded to her. "It was a bien attempt, mademoiselle," He said, smiling at her before turning back to the Black girl. He scoffed at her, shaking his head.

"You may insult me, but if you insult my home, I never forgive. Desolé." He grinned to himself at what Iva had said, hiding it behind his raised packages. He snorted as they walked away, shaking his head. He didn't know how they liked to call themselves the 'bigger people'. What a joke.

"You're very good at this, Mademoiselle Iva." He complimented, referring to the insulting and the refusals.

Casey looked at Alyssa as they walked out and could see her visibly shaking with the attempt to contain her anger. Laying a hand on her back, she sent waves of yellow (happiness obviously) into her sister. "We both said things we shouldn't have said and so did they. We'll probably regret this later, but it happened and it's done. They were stubborn and refused to accept an apology. I probably shouldn't have thrown in that comment about being bigger people, but I really couldn't help it, and what's done is done, like I said. Now let's just try to forget about it."

Alyssa visibly calemd at the energy her sister was sending her.
"I guess, but some of their coments really got to me. I hope they will calm down and not actually hate us. I only ment to make them laugh at some of the coments. But your right, lets just forget it! Besides, we have to visit Jonkos, I have a prank Idea." Alyssa newly calmed and somewhat happy left with her sister, and trying to forget the ugly encounter with the two older students.

Casey raised one eyebrow at the 'I only meant to make them laugh', highly doubting that, but let it go and instead asked, "Pranks like what? I'm already in."

Liam chuckled thoroughly humored by what was happening around him and brushed off his fellow Slytherin's comment. After paying for his sweets he turned to look at the girl behind him side stepping to allow her to pass. blinking confused, he huffed a heavy breath and shook his head, this little tiffs were completely unnecessary...

He didn't understand why everyone was being so unnecessarily rude as of late.

Iva nodded at the Frenchman, a bit proud of herself. "I am a Slytherin; I like insults." She watched the two, still bristling with anger. They weren't disturbed by what they did; they were already calm and smiling.

"They cannot make my Russian sound weird," she complained, "I get made fun of for my accent already; now I will be thinking about others hating Russian itself,"

Alyssa smiled at the Slytherin, even being raised by Gryffindors, she didnt like blanket stareo-types about houses, she gives everyone a chance.
"I'm ok, but thanks for standing up for me." Alyssa thought he looked nice, and definetly mannered.
"Whats your name?" She asked while sticking her hand out, "You can call me Padfoot, PJ, or Lyssa. If you want." She said smiling.

Liam grinned tilting his head well mannerly, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles. "It was my pleasure Lyssa, my names Liam Aston, but you can call me Liam" flashing her another beaming grin. Taking a step back he accessed the girl in front of him, seeing that she seemed like a naturally good person and decided he could be friends easily with her.

Casey stood aside and watch the interaction between her sister and this Liam, the handsome, well mannered Slytherin boy who'd stepped in to defend her. I like this kid, she thought, and leaned against a wall to wath the scene unfold.

Alyssa laughed when he went all proper on her, she thought it was cuite, and funny. So when he let go of her hand, she curtsied, and smiled so he knew she wasnt mocking or anything, just enjoying life.
"Liam's a cool name! I like it!" she announced. Then seeing him look at her sister, she hoped he accepted her too.

Chuckling lightly at her antics, Liam nodded his head at her approval of him "It's the only one I have, I guess it'll have to do, your name is very..pretty it suits you" He shrugged smiling.
Turning his head he gazed thoughtfully at Lyssa's friend who was also assessing him throughout and nodded respectfully toward her, approving that if she was friends with the charming girl before him, then she must be nice as well.

Seeing that they had turned their attention towards her, Casey pushed herself off the wall and walked over, hand out. "Hello, I'm Casey. Lyssa is my sister." Now how would he react...?

Taking the proffered hand and giving it the same pleasantries he'd given Lyssa, preparing himself for his introduction. He did not expect for the words that flowed from her mouth though. "It's nice to meet you Casey---Wait a tick, did you say sisters?" he blinked probably looking like a fish out of water looking between the two girls trying to make out similarities.

Alyssa giggled at the incredulous look on his face, they got that often, being adopted an all.
"Yeah!" Alyssa said easily, "We're considered twins infact," then having mercy she explained, "I'm adopted, and Casey and I are the same age, so we are twins!" Alyssa smiled at Liam agian.

Finding himself again he quirked a grin at Lyssa, " you almost had me their, it's nice to see siblings adopted or not so close to each other, I also have an adopted sister shes around here some where" Liam chuckled thinking about his younger sister Nara, and where she could have gone off to. Looking back at Lyssa he spoke again "So where are you two ladies going off to next I wouldn't mind escorting you, if you're alright with it, that is?" he asked smirking handsomely at Lyssa hoping she'd say yes.

"We were on our way to Jonkos, to replenish our pranking stores, and I would be honored to be escorted by you!" Alyssa laughed and curtied again, then looking over at Casey she asked, "Do you mind a handsom escort?"

Chuckling to himself he shook his head, if only Luminara was here she'd get along just fine with Lyssa being a prankster herself. "Great!---I mean...heheh" he blushed and rubbed the back of his neck at his outburst of her saying yes and mentally slapped himself 'way to go Ashton, you baffoon' he thought sourly but pasted a smile of his face so, that Lyssa wouldn't see through to his internal conflict. "My sister is a die hard prankster--I'm sure if you two met you'd be fast friends." he said to take the light off of himself and change the topic.

"Really? Cool!" Alyssa exclaimed, his outburst wasnt lost on her, but she thought it was sweet, "Is she younger than you? Or older? Does she go here?" Alyssa was excited to hear he had a sister who loved pranks, it was something she relished. Pranking, an amazing form of light hearted fun and relaxation!

He grinned at her enthusiasm, "She is a year younger than me, and she doesn't attend Hogwarts, she is...undecided" he shrugged, his sister didn't interact well with crowds, he couldn't even take her to a fair without her passing out or worst. "But she is a child at heart always magicking my robes and other personal items of mine into oblivion and back" He winced, remembering Nara jinxing his shoes into mud buckets right in the middle of his potions class, he had detention for a week.

"Well she sounds cool! I hope I can meet her one day!" Alyssa thought his sister sounded like a person who she could exchange a few prank ideas with. Then noticing that Casey hadnt said anything in a while, she looked over and saw Casey to be zoned out, or in some kind of shock. Quickley Alyssa looked around to see a large crowed on the street, and a pub not to far away. Alyssa feared the high emotions from the pub, and the large crowd of people was hurting her sister, Alyssa suggested they go back to the castle and just order the Jonkos products.
Alyssa grabbed Caseys arm and put it around her shoulders, then holding her opposite waist she helped her to walk away from the big crowds.

"I'm sure you will soon..." Liam noticed Casey as well and his brow furrowed. "Is she alright?" Walking over he helped Lyssa hold he sister up on her unoccupied side. He's seen that look before on his sisters face and hoped he was wrong about her having Nara's problem.

Casey was freaking out. The colors in her vision were so intense from all the excitement that she was half blinded and was following the others merely by their voices. She felt an arm go around her shoulders and ferverently hoped it was Lyssa's as she was guided away from the hub of emotion. Her vision came back slowly and she was able to make out the concerned faces of her companions.
Seein, as well as sensing Liam's confusion, she explained. "I see other people's emotions as colors on the edge of my vision, but when there's a hugh crowd like this and all of them have a strong emotion going on, it gets really overwhelming. I can't see through the color and it gives me extreme headaches after a while. I can't really go to Quidditch games either; all the excitement turns my vision pure pink."
The story just kind of spilled out and Casey blushed at how insane it sounded, but she certainly didn't have time to come up with an excuse. She just hoped he didn't think she was insane.

Alyssa carefully watched Liam's expression, as much as she liked him, she would stand by her sister, before the newcommer. Hoping he understod, and didnt think they were crazy.

Liam's mouth formed a grim line and nodded in understanding, "Your an empath of sorts, right?" he asked slowly hoping not to offend either of the sisters with his slightly baffled expression. Well for him it wasn't everyday you came across extraordinary beings who basically knew what was going on beyond the mask. Keeping a firm grip on Casey, he nodded dutifully, he scooped her up and began walking hurriedly away from the rambunctious crowd, calling out to Lyssa over his shoulder. "Come on, I know a place where she can calm down" and kept his steady path towards the forest.
