Hoarder | Vala/Zypher

Vala stormed through the door to the office without so much as pausing to knock.

"Zypher Reid Ramone!" she bit out furiously, proceeding to speak in Italian. "Where are they? And before you say you don't know what I'm talking about, I mean the entire section of books I know you have laying around somewhere! I swear, if even one page is so much as creased, I am hexing you into oblivion!"

She glared at the boy, fists on her hips.

Zypher was in the process of stacking a series of books in the shape of the Eiffel tower when his sister's voice broke his concentration. Wincing as the books crashed to the floor he hoped she didn't hear him. Damn, he knew exactly where he'd stuffed those books too! They were incredibly rare and he'd snatched them from the library earlier to peruse, memorize, and then had proceeded to use them... to stack his Eiffel tower. Crud. Knowing his sister's wrath, he hastily shoved them in a cupboard and walked out of the other room.

"You looking for something my dear sweet sister?" he asked innocently.

"I'll show you 'dear sweet sister'," Vala snapped back. "You crammed my books into one of your already crowded cabinets, didn't you?"

She pressed her fingers against her temples and rubbed. "I am too tired to deal with this. Every time I close my eyes, I have that stupid dream, so I can't sleep and now an entire shelf of books are missing because my brother takes things and doesn't return them. Those books need to be in the library so students can, oh, I dunno, maybe do their homework?

"Z," she sighed. "You have got to stop taking my books without checking them out. Now, where are they? And I will hex you if any of them are damaged."

"Relax sis," Z said dismissively with an amused grin on his face as he reached over to mess up her hair. "I doubt any of your students need advanced History of Magic books right now, what with how boring they think History is. They make a better tow-- decor on my shelf," he hoped she didn't notice him almost say tower. "None of them are damaged," he hastily added.

Vala ducked away from her brother's hand, giving him a warning scowl. "They better not be damaged, mio caro fratello," she told him. "Now, which one did you hide them in? This one over here?"
