Lesson Two - 3rd Years Empty Lesson Two - 3rd Years

Post by Guest Tue Jan 10, 2012 4:33 pm

Marietta walked over to the Caretaker hut to collect the Erumpent for her lesson with the third years, the Caretaker opened the pen and walked over to the massive creature handing its chain metal lesh to Marietta

" Ah thank you very much" Marietta said then holding the chain lesh firmly she began walking over to the open field where she would be teaching her third years, with the Erumpent slowly ploding behind her

When they arrived at the field Marietta placed the lesh on the ground, and rubbed the face of the Erumpent " Well you certainly are big lady aren't you" Marietta let out a small laugh, she absoulutely loved talking to animals as though they could understand her, she then continued talking to the Erumpent as she waited for her students to arrive

Lesson Two - 3rd Years Empty Re: Lesson Two - 3rd Years

Iris headed for the grounds near the forest for her first ever Care of Magical Creatures subject. Perhaps this time there would be a professor to rest the case in peace. And, probably a good one who can be some preacher of the magical animals and towards the students of course. That's the very important part of her own criteria for judging a professor whether she or he is suitable to be respected or not. Everyone taking that job should pass and be like that. Nothing else.

She was with glee as this was her would-be encounter with a creature. Since she didn't take this subject in her earlier years at Hogwarts. And she only reckoned that it would be such a lonely experience when you'd rather stick to the limited subjects. The subjects that are not containing any excitement and adventure at all. And for the record, this day is her first time in years and months of her third year.

Hoping that things would turn out good, Iris greeted the professor with a grin and said,

"Good morning, professor. I've got a feeling that this first ever lesson of mine would be great. Will it? And oh, I hope you had a wonderful holiday."

The girl walked over the sunny meadow and stood before the lady in front just a few feet apart, attempting to form a point of the circle. Thank God she was early.

Marietta looked over and noticed her first student arriving to class, she greeted her friendly and asked would this be a good lesson

Marietta gave a small smile to the girl " Well my dear as long as you love all Magical Creatures then you will have a fantastic time in this class" She then looked at the Erumpent and rubbed the side of his face

" And well today you get to be working with this big fello, his names Mitchell"

Iris beamed and got that excitement of hers reaching to its highest level. She gazed at the creature. It was enormous. And it seemed like it was dangerous. But if she would take good care to treat it right, then there wouldn't be a problem.

"Wow. This is great. I haven't seen anyone like it. Well, I've read about them a couple of months back. But I did not guess they're this huge and unusual. And I would definitely like to see how one can be friends with them. Their number is not that many isn't it? Good thing we have one right here. Hi fella!"

She greeted the Erumpent with a wave as though it can understand her. But for sure, it can understand people. They're magical and full of wonders. And the girl thought about what would be the outcome of the activity. She could only expect that no one will get hurt. Especially her, the prone to danger one.

Marietta watched as Iris interacted with the Erumpent, she was pleased to see the Slytherin girl responded well to creatures

Marietta glanced down at her watching then back up towards the castle to see if she could see the rest of the class coming " Well im going to have to start in 10 mintues" Marietta said she then looked towards Iris " Lets hope your not the only one hey"

Iris had a big grin on her face as she reached the Care of Magical Creatures lesson. She wasn't particularly a fan of animals but magical creatures definitely caught her fancy.

"Good day Professor," she greeted her teacher. "Hope you had a good holiday!" Her eyes widened slightly in surprise as she saw the Erumpent. "Hey there!" She told the creature, walking closer to it but not too close. "I wish they could talk back, it would be so awesome." She commented with a wishful look.

Iris smiled when she saw her friend and gazed at the creature. She can only just imagine if they would speak, Grayson was right. If only possible. They're magical aren't they? And unexpected things always happen when talking about magic.

"I know right? Then learning about them wouldn't be too hard. Just having some conversation with them is enough. Like old pals."

Marietta looked up towards the castle it appeared that no more students would be coming, so she looked back at her two students which had arrived and gave a small chuckle at their conversation

" Attention girls, thank you. So this here is an Erumpert now these creatures are very powerful and are capable of repelling most charms and curses. However these beast do need regular excerise"

Marietta then walked further down the field and returned with two broomsticks "So I find a good way to excise these creatures is getting them to run, I asked Professor Doherty if I could borrow a couple of school brooms for this lesson"

Marietta then knealed down and tied a red cloth onto the end of each broom, she then looked up at her two students " Ok so who wants to go first?" she asked

Iris gazed at what the professor was doing and smiled with a slight hint of nervousness. She wouldn't try first, obviously. As to not get the feeling of being scared soon after. Instead, she decided to just stand right back there and see what's going to happen. So she can follow later and do the same process of what her friend did. Then perfectly without any danger, she can put up a well kind of a safe show.

The Slytherin shook her head slowly as she continued to stare at the huge creature. She turned to look at the Gryffindor beside her and gestured for her to go first. She covered her mouth with her hand and whispered, "I think you should go first. You're that type. Not me. Is that all right?"

Iris nodded her head enthusiastically at Eye and grinned. "Yeah, totally alright!" She walked forward and said, "I'd like to go first please, Professor!" This was awesome! Sure, the creature looked sort of intimidating but she didn't mind. Besides, it gave her an excuse to fly. How could she pass that up?!

She took one of of the brooms and waited for the Professor's instructions.

Marietta was pleased when the Gryffindor girl stepped foward to go first, she walked over to the broom and picked up " Excellent Miss Grayson, I like my students to be eagar"

Marietta then patted the Erumpert then looked over at the Gryffindor girl " Ok so on my word I want you to cast Rictumsepra on the Erumpert to tickle it and get its attention, these are one of the very few charms which work on these creatures, then straight away you must take off on your broom you should about eye level to the Erumpert, first just take it up and down on the grounds then fly up higher and wait for my next instruction"

Marietta smiled at the girl encouragingly " Now remember these are incrediably dangerous creatures if you feel as though he is catching up to you to quickly simply fly high up"

Marietta then looked at the Erumpert then back at the girl " Ok start now"

Iris looked over to her friend and gave her a thumbs up as her own version of a gesture of wishing good luck. She stood where she was and readied herself to watch the seemingly exciting part of the lesson. She had to admit, it was pretty dangerous too. Well, she can only hope that the rough side of the creature wouldn't dare to show up.

Iris nodded her head in understanding and took out her wand. She made sure to stand next to the Erumpert at a safe distance and mounted her broom. She muttered the spell, "Rictumsepra," put her wand back and immediately began flying. She looked over her shoulder and sure enough, the creature wasn't far behind. After a few seconds the creature was about on the same level with her and she proceeded to follow the rest of the instruction.

She flew in a up and down motion, occasionally flying a bit too high and almost grinned as she saw the Erumpert do just about the same thing. She could almost feel the adrenaline pumping through her; it was the same feeling whenever she got on a broom but today, the intensity was even more.

After a few more minutes of flying high, she wondered what the Professor would ask to do next.

Marietta watched as the Gryffindor girl performed quite well, " Well done Miss Grayson, now I'm going to get you to try something abit tricker, I want you to try and make the Erumpert run in a figure of 8" Marietta glanced down at her watch realizing the lesson was almost over

" And after you have done that swoop back down here, so Miss Frances can have a turn just running the Erumpert up and down the field before the lesson ends ok" Marietta yelled out to the Gryffindor girl as she began the task
