Nothing Better to Do Empty Nothing Better to Do

Post by October Hearthswood Tue Jan 17, 2012 11:42 pm

October had nothing to do. It was a Saturday in the middle of January and all her friends had left to Hogsmead. On any regular weekend she would have been roaming around the castle, or outside on the quidditch pitch. But not this time, this time she was stuck in a empty common room with a broken foot.

'What should I do?' she thought 'I've finished all of my homework. Obviously I cant play chess or talk to someone.'

After 2 minutes of trying to figure out what to do she finally got an idea, reaching for her wand on the table next to her she summoned her guitar from her room.

Positioning her hands on the proper chords she started playing a song her dad used to sing to her before he had been murdered in a death eater attack. Before she knew it she started singing, unaware of the figure behind her.

Casey was wandering through the common room with a vague idea to go down to the kitches (and likely make herself fat on brownies) when she heard a guitar and a voice drifting from a couch off to the side.
She walked up behind the couch and saw a girl, firstie by her looks, singing and playing with a foot in a cast propped up on some cushions. She listened for a minute, smiling when she recognized the song, then joined in, singing harmony to the girl's melody.
