Breathing had become rather difficult as the boy ran full out as fast as he could, never minding the branches that were tearing at his clothing or trying to catch at his hair. A stitch had developed and burned in his side, but Joschka did not want to stop or slow down until he was clear of the forest. Turning his head slightly he didn't see the tree root that was stuck up slightly which resulted in his foot catching. Letting out a cry of first surprise that turned into a sound of pain as he fell to the forest floor, his breath leaving his lungs in a whoosh.

Fear made the boy's heart pound quicker and he could feel each beat as if it was trying to escape his chest and making it slightly hurt. Getting to his hands and knees, hands scrambled in the mulch trying to find the wand that had flown from his hands when he fell. Hands curling over the wand, Joschka quickly got to his feet casting a frantic look over his shoulder even as he was taking his first step to run again. Seeing he wasn't being pursued didn't make him hesitate any less.

This would be the last time he tried to sneak in here alone! At least now the boy knew why the forest didn't need guarding or warding against the students. Crashing through the underbrush he leaped over another root that would have had him sprawling on the dirt again. Leaving the forest and entering into the grass and sun that let him know he was back on school grounds, Joschka panted, hands on his knees, his whole frame quivering as he tried to breath and get himself under control. Wiping the back of a dirty hand across his sweaty brow caused a bigger dirt streak to form on his face, but he didn't care or even notice.

"I'm not doing that again," he muttered and nearly leaped out of his skin when he heard something crack behind him. Whirling, wand still in hand the boy glared at the person approaching, then lowered it a little. "What do you want?"

Sienna raised her hands in defense. She had been taking a walk around the grounds and felt herself drawn to the forest treeline where she was curious to find out what was in there. Unexpectedly, a boy ran out of the forest a little ways away from her seemingly out of breath, like he had been running for his life? Curious to find out what scared him so, she approached him when she stepped on a branch. The boy turned around, raised his wand at her, and asked "What do you want?"

Dark eyes focused intently on the children. This could not be. No, no, it was all wrong. It strolled forward, human but for the feathers along its neck and arms - not to mention the great black wings protruding from its back.

    Its purpose must be served.

    It moved towards the boy.

Sienna saw a strange creature come out of the shadows. Human shaped but with large black wings, the thing reminded Sienna of a fallen angel. Although new to the wizarding world, it didn't take a genius to know this thing was bad... very, very bad.
"Look out!" She cried to the boy as she took out her own wand preparing to defend herself because there was no way she could outrun those wings...

Joschka frowned at the girl not saying anything then raising her wand towards him. He wasn't going to be fooled by her telling him to look out. There wasn't any noise behind him! Older kids were always trying to trick the younger kids and the boy wasn't going to be fooled by it. Not even when she told him to look out.

"I'm not falling for that!" He sneered at her raising his wand again. "Stay away from me!"

Unconsciously to get away from the girl, Joschka took a step backwards, his eyes never leaving the girl. Did she think he was stupid?

"Is this boy stupid?" Sienna thought for a split second, there's danger behind him! But then she realized that when a fourth year pulled out their wand and panicked, it looked a lot like a prank she had seen multiple times. But this was not a prank. They were in danger and she had to make him understand! Turning towards the boy she yelled "Turn around, you idiot! It's not a joke!" with as much urgency as she could put in her voice hoping he would believe her.

It had reached its target, putting both hands on the boy's shoulders as he back towards it. Sparing a glance for the girl, it looked down at the boy.

Then it spoke in monotone, voice raspy in a way that suggested it was seldom used. "You will come with me."

Joschka bristled at being called an idiot and he got angry. Just because she was older she couldn't tell him what to do! No one did, not even his parents or aunt. They let him do whatever he wanted to do. Before he could turn to find out if she was pulling his leg or if she was serious, the boy felt hands on his shoulders causing him to jump in surprise. A shiver went through his small frame as he tilted his head slowly back to stare up at what had hold of him. The person's face was in shadow but the boy saw the huge wings.

Swallowing, Joschka opened his mouth but before he could say anything the being spoke and the boy stared. Was this a professor or something he hadn't seen at the castle yet? Was he getting in trouble for going in the forest?

If the winged person really was a threat the boy didn't know what to do. The only thing he could do was run back into the forest but he didn't want to do that. He was only a kid! His whole body quivered not knowing what to do. His eyes darted to the girl then back up.

Voice cracking from both fear and his age the only thing the Slytherin could think to say was, "Why?"

It regarded the boy silently. Then it slowly blinked dark eyes - soulless eyes.

"My purpose must be served," it responded. "You will come with me." Turning the boy about by the shoulders, it made to hoist him up onto its shoulder.

Sienna watched in horror as the boy walked directly into the creature. The poor boy was shaking. Sienna knew what it was like to be scared- like there was no hope. Rage filled her body and clouded her thoughts and reason. Abandoning the hope of casting a hex on the magical being, she threw herself toward the winged demon, ignoring its imposing appearance. She would rather fight to the death with this, this thing before she let it carry the boy away to an unknown, horrible fate.

Joschka began to struggle. He wasn't going anywhere! The man was creepy! The boy might have been scared but he didn't want to go somewhere he didn't know! "Let me go!"

Anger mixed with his fear as he ignored all rules of fairness; kicking, scratching, and biting if he could to get out of the grasp. He also opened his mouth and screamed for help. He knew that if he caused enough commotion maybe, maybe someone would hear. He could hope couldn't he?

Keeping a hold on the boy with one hand, it caught the girl by the arm before she succeeded in tackling it. It looked down at her, tilting its head to one side.

"You, too," it declared in that rasping voice. "You will come with me."

The boy had begun to struggle, drawing a gaze from his captor, who blinked slowly. Without further response and using its wings as extra limbs to assist in the process, it put first one, then the other of the children over its shoulders. Powerful legs pushing off from the ground, it took to the air, carrying the children with it.
