Merlin he really hated dogs.

Quil raised an eyebrow, and rather unconsiously leaned closer to the boy, the move ment making it so he was almost leaning onto his arm, "Oh you are, are you? And just what makes Pieter Popov so dangerous?"

Pieter smiled at the contact, leaning back ever so sightly.

"Well, I don't mean to impress you," he grinned, "But, on Halloween, I take two candies instead of one,"

He was kidding, of course. His family was dangerous in different ways... but, that's not something he'd tell to his friends.

Aquila let out a bark of laughter, and shook his head.

"Well let me say, Mr. Popov, that I am highly impressed," he grinned impishly, "Two candies instead of one? I don't know... I think you might be just too dangerous for little old me."

Pieter shrugged, letting go of Aquila's hand. He adjusted his glasses, trying to hide his laughter.

"Oh, you know, I might be able to tone down the danger for you,"

Quil could feel laughed bubbling up in him, but he was a master of keep such things back, so execpt for a certain twinkle in his eye, he managed to look up at the boy in all seriousness.

"Oh really? You would do that for me?" he said in a tone he had coloured with aw, "That almost seems like too much to ask, Piety."
