Sacha wasn't ignorant. While he, too, rather thought it fell to men to care for the fairer sex, he knew that that seldom occurred. Men were pigs; Sacha did not deny this fact.

The key point was that not all men were pigs.

He paused, hand on the doorknob as he looked back at her. His lips thinned minutely. "It is," he responded placidly.

Alise pulled her knees to her chest, placing her head upon them. She swirled her wine slowly, thinking. Merlin, she need this. She hadn't meant to be an utter bitch about it but...

She didn't know how to trust anymore.

"I'll be in by Friday," she said softly, looking over at him. She gave a warm smile, her green eyes flashing before looking away, "Thank you,"

Sacha inclined his head. "You will be able to see the house," he told her. "Someone will be there to give you the key."

Turning the doorknob, he stepped out, silently casting a protective ward over the apartment before he aparated away.
