Personality: Mel is a very happy-go-lucky person. Her nearly constant sunny dispotion can sometimes get irritating, but she's happy anyway. She loves he borther very much and was saddened when they grew apart because he went to school and began smoking.
Mel can't handle the constant fighting of her parents and looks to music for her cure. She loses her sense of self when moving on the dance floor and has absolutely no inhibitions when dancing. She uses dancing as her escape and it helps her go on through the toughest times.

Overall history: Mel was born in Switzerland on one of her parents' travels together. She entered ballet when she was 5 and instantly loved it. She convinced her parents to allow her to take other dance classes, such as hip hop, ballroom, and free style. She excelled in all of them and found her passion.
When Mel was 10, her parents began fighting. The little things escalated until one day her mother came home with another man. Her father came home drunk and, finding his wife cheating on him, started a huge shouting match. Alec tried to stop it and got hit by their father. Mel's mother threw a vase at her father as Mel ran from the room. A shard caught her above her left temple, leaving a scar. From then on, there were always fights that Mel tried to ride out in her room, crying, while Alec took to the streets. Mel was overjoyed to recieve her acceptance letter to Beauxbatons, seeing it as her escape. She left for school in the middle of one of the biggest fights her parents ever had. Alec took her to the pick up spot for their carriage.
Mel felt her and her brother growing farther apart as he left for school and began smoking with some Muggle friends when he was home. She was intensely saddened, though she was also angry at Alec for leaving her to deal with her parets' fights. She forgave him though, and now spends much of her time trying to convince her brother to quit smoking.
