semi-automatic {YEFREM}

Sometimes, Lena loved candy, and this was one of those days. She had practically put every single candy she could think of into her basket so that when she got home, she can gorge on them all and cry in her room. All without letting everyone know of course.

She wasn't aware that she had been staring at the same piece of candy for fifteen minutes until someone decided to talk to her.

Yefrem walked around the shop, completely in his own world. It was unusual for him to daydream, but lately it had just been like that.

He wasn't doing anything in particular, when he noticed a slightly... frozen looking person. Yefrem found it funny, so he wet over and waved his hand in front of her face.

"Hello," he said. "Anyone home?"

Turning around, Lena noticed that a boy was standing behind her. She swore she knew who this boy was, but she hasn't actually met him yet, that far she knew. She stared at him, scanning his body and chewing his finger as she thought of all the possibilities of how she could have recognized this boy from anywhere. Her eyes widened when she remembered and she smiled immediately.

"Hello," she said, "your name's Yefrem, right?"

"Uh, yeah," Yefrem said, slightly confused. "How did you know?"

He looked at her for a while. "I can't remember meeting you. Who are you anyway?"

Lena's smile turned into a naughty, knowing smirk. "Oh... I'm the Queen of Durmstrang. I know everything. Well, almost," she boasted, chuckling not-so-nicely. She tilted her head to the side at his question. "You don't know me?" she asked, her sound fainter as she spoke, as if there was some sort of element of shock she was trying to hide. "I'm terribly sad."

"You know everything, almost?" Yefrem laughed. "Oh, I'm sorry, Your Highness." He bowed mockingly. He smirked, trying to remember her.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad, Your Majesty," Yefrem cried dramatically. Then he remembered. "It's Lena, or something. Your name, I mean."

Laughing, Lena stopped her smirk and for a moment looked almost kind. "You got that part right. I do not know how to make friends after you've been arguing with someone for five years straight," the Uchitel chuckled, clapping her hands. "I am Lena. Lena Vorstenbach, to be precise." She put her basket chock full of candy on the ground. "I am also Anya Telsa's best friend for life." She then arched an eyebrow at the boy, crossing her arms on her chest. "Doesn't that sound familiar?"

Yefrem raised his eyebrows. "Five years? That's a long time. Don't you get sick of it?" He eyed the basket on the ground. "Whoa," Yefrem exclaimed mockingly. "You must really like this stuff."
He laughed, and then his expression went completely stiff. "Um, maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. What's it to you?"

Lena shook her head. "I'm perfectly fine with that. We made up, but don't count on calling us friends yet," she remarked, spitting each word as if they were dirt. She couldn't help but laugh and ask, "Yes it is. She told me that she spent time with 'yellow'. I know she couldn't spend time with a colour, so I decided to do some research." She smirked. "And I found you."

"Oh, well that's good," Yefrem shrugged. "And who'd spend time with a colour?"
"Do reasearch?" he asked. "Why?"
He ran his fingers through his hair. It was a nervous spasm. "What do you mean you found me?"

Lena nodded, putting her hands together in exasperation. "Exactly!" she exclaimed, "who would spend time with a colour? Not sane people, I might add." She crossed her arms and yelled once again, "I'm Lena Vorstenbach! I don't get excited too often, so I research about people and things to keep myself occupied. And in my research and deduction - " she mentally added that it had nothing to do with seduction - "I found you."

"Nobody's sane if they spend time with a colour," Yefrem agreed solemnly. "All right, all right, I know who you are now." He laughed. "but I still don't know what you mean by that you found me."

"Well, Anya doesn't spend time with a colour, but she does spend a lot of time reading, and she's really, really quick at reading too," rambled Lena, smirking. "What I meant was, I found out who she really fancied."

"I know," Yefrem sighed. "Really, really quick, apparantly." He raised his eyebrows. "Oh? Should I believe you?"

Lena scoffed. "Of course you should believe me!" she exclaimed, crossing her arms on her chest. "I wouldn't lie to you; lying is a rather fallacious art form."

"It is," Yefrem agreed. "But I still won't believe you if you don't tell me." He smirked, waiting eagerly.

Lena rolled her eyes. "Who do you think it is?" she snapped, looking directly at him, "she fancies you, you crazy lemon!" She shook her head in mock disdain.

"Oh," Yefrem said stupidly. "I didn't know that, how should I?" he snapped back. "And what's up with the crazy lemon stuff, anyway?"

Lena rolled her eyes once again. "Yefrem, are you really that clueless?" she asked, "or have you really decided to go a whole summer without seeing her?" She pursed her lips.

Yefrem shrugged. "Apparantly. I'm very clueless, aren't I?" He laughed. "Well, what am I supposed to do?" He shrugged again.

Lena laughed lightly. "Yes," she replied, "you are extremely clueless, it's a crime." She blinked at him. "Well. Ask her to meet you or something!" she exclaimed, flailing her arms.

Yefrem laughed, shaking his head. "A crime? Whoa, I must have missed a lot." He rolled his eyes. "I should, shouldn't I?"

Lena nodded firmly. "I will help you send her an owl, or I'll ask her to send you an owl... oh wait, I shouldn't. She doesn't know I know you yet."

"Right," Yefrem muttered. "Why is it such a bad thing that you know?" He shook his head. "I don't understand a thing."

Lena widened her eyes. "Don't you get it, dude?" she said in a tone of disdain, "I'm not supposed to know about you! So therefore..." She looked at him, wanting him to piece all of the pieces together.
