Personality: Zephan is very intelligent and highly curious due to the sheltered live he has lived with his parents. They ignored him a lot and he is very close to his older sister, who encouraged him to study anything he was interested in and to never give up. The boy wanted to make her proud so he pushed hard at his studies and has become quite precocious.

There are rare times that his child like mind will overthrow his logical, precocious side and he'll act like any typical child. He loves to climb on stuff and with the aid of his accidental magic he can climb almost anything. He hates rules and authority figures thanks to his parents upbringing and he will go out of his way to break rules and defy authority, knowing his sister will always protect him from harm.

Overall history: Zephan is the only son of the Whelan family and as such has great pressures put upon him by his parents. He is shielded from most of these worries by his adored older sister Ciar. He is her little wolf cub and he loves her more than anything. At the age of five Ciar saved him from the Whelan trials and he hasn't had to go through them yet since his parents have been focused on making his sister's life a living hell. He vowed to make his sister proud and pushed himself hard in his studies to be the best he could. The boy speaks multiple languages and plays violin quite well. He is self taught in most of his studies. At the age of seven Zephan's parents were murdered and he and his sister were taken under guardianship by Ciar's master, Professor Thorpe.
