    4th Year Transfiguration : Lesson 1 Empty 4th Year Transfiguration : Lesson 1

Pandora went into the Transfiguration classroom. This class won't be the same without Alexa teaching her. Her God mother was the best Transfiguration teacher. Pandora was going to see if this Professor was good. Alexa had told her that she went to school with Professor Miller and he and her came top in the subject.

Pandora also knew it was his first year teaching. So she was going to make his teaching job run easily by not being a idiot.

Paloma walked towards Transfiguration, wondering if they would continue working on their Animagus form, like in Durmstrang, or not.

She smiled when she saw Pandora Reikhman already in there and took a seat right next to her. "Hey Pandora!" she greeted, "I didn't know you'd signed up for the student exchange program."

Pandora smiled as Paloma walked through the door and sat next to her.

"I didn't even know you signed up for it either. How was your summer?" Pandora asked with suprise.

Lena walked into Transfiguration feeling a little miserable. Merlin knows what drove her to take that class in Hogwarts when she didn't even tolerate it in Durmstrang. Oh well, it was good practice for becoming someone successful, wasn't it?

She saw a girl that she'd seen in a couple of classes before and Paloma, and she walked towards them. "Hey!" she called out, "Paloma and, um... what's your name again?"

"Pretty good, I guess," Paloma said, while shuffling through her bag for her books, "I spent half of it here, the other half back home. And a day in France, but I don't think that counts. What about yours?"

"Oh, hey Lena," she greeted the Uchitel, "How are you?"

Riley walked into Transfiguration, not even halting at seeing that all the students were from Durmstrang. She greeted all of them, although she still didn't know the one's name. "Hi guys." Then, she dug out her supplies and plopped everything down on a desk, perching herself on the edge of it.

"Right," Lena replied with a small laugh, faking a smile for a second before pursing her lips, "I've just had loads on my mind, that's all." She then turned towards Paloma, smiling a kind smile at her fellow Uchitel and sighed, "Tired. Do you know how long it took me to find this corridor? I had to ask, like, three people."

Lena then waved at Riley. "Hey!" she called.

Paloma sighed, "I know how you feel. And when I could finally locate the corridor, the stairs decided it was time to move." She muttered, "So bloody annoying."

"Hello," she greeted Riley with a smile.

Riley laughed and walked over to them. "That's good to know," she said, taking a seat next to Pandora. "It's nice to meet you, Pandora. You've been in practically all my classes, so how I don't know your name." She grinned impishly. "I'm Riley...Skander," she added her last name as an afterthought. "Hey, Lena!" she smiled. "Hi, Paloma! So, how's Hogwarts?" Riley kind of figured in the back of her head they were transfers-which didn't bother her. She knew Lena and Paloma, and Pandora seemed nice enough. There'd be time for her awkwardness later, she was sure.

Lynx walked into the classroom and saw only about four students, he was kinda of surprized he then placed his bag and textbooks on the desk and turned to the class

"Attention please, right so firstly im Professor Miller I work for the Ministry but they decided to appoint me to this position due to the seriously falling standards of this subject, any questions? no excellent. So it seems like we have quite a small which probably works out well for what we're going to be doing. Today you will be learning how to turn chairs into cats"

Lynx then pulled out his wand " To do this you hold your wand firmly like this and move it in a very sharp and quick circular motion and say Cathedra Cattus, but firstly I just want you to practice the wand movements because if you get that wrong Merlin only knows what you'll end up with"

Pandora got her wand out and practiced the movement. She has done this spell before. Well Alexa taught her it 2 years back.

Riley clumsily attempted the movement with her wand. She smiled sheepishly to herself, and tried again. She tried multiple times, actually, before on the fifth time actually duplicating the movement as exactly as possible. She tried the same technique a few times, and soon found herself doing it somewhat deftly. Now all she had to hope was that she was actually practicing the right movement. "Quick circle," she muttered to herself, doing the movement again.

"Hogwarts has been really great so far," Paloma told Riley and was about to say more when their Professor walked in.

Introducing himself as Professor Miller, he told them what they were going to do.

Paloma copied the wand movements, a bit differently at first, but after a while it looked like what Professor Miller had done.

Lynx observed the class practicing the movements, after a while he was pleased with there efforts and felt as though they were ready to cast the spell

"Class attention please, I think your all ready to actually cast the spell, so I would like you to take your chair and spread out across the room, make sure there is plenty of space between all of all" Lynx said as he gazed around at the students

Paloma grabbed her chair and moved forward a bit, away from the rest of the students.

"Cathedra Cattus, sharp circular motion," she muttered the instructions to herself. Alright, she could do this. Maybe. It couldn't be that hard.

"Cathedra Cattus!" she whispered, flicking her wand. Nothing.

The Uchitel sighed and tried it once again, this time louder and making a sharper circle with her wand, "Cathedra Cattus!"

And the chair before her transformed into a cat. . . with two wooden legs. But hey! It was still a cat!

She smiled and got down on her knees to look at the small animal. "Oh, hey there. I'm so sorry I didn't give you two proper legs but it's my first try, I hope you understand that," she patted him.

Lynx chuckled as one of the girls half transfigured the chair into a cat, Lynx then the flicked his wand at the cat turning it back into a chair

"Miss Poots, I think where your going wrong is your not saying the incantation clearly enough, sound try it again this time more clearer" Lynx said

Paloma nodded and raised the wand to try again.

"Cathedra Cattus!" she said, more clearly, and flicked her wand. It worked. She smiled as the chair transformed into a cute little kitten - this time with all four legs.
