lesson one - fourth years ;

Paloma walked into the Dueling classroom and was surprised to find another Durmstrang student from her year. She hadn't seen them around much.

"Oh, hello," she greeted Anya, taking a seat next to her.

Lena waltzed into Duelling, carrying her wand and her notebook with her. Merlin, she rejoiced over this class. She missed fighting with magic spells and learning new offensive ones. She saw Paloma and Anya and walked towards them.

"He-llo, my lovelies!" Lena grinned, walking towards her friends. "How are you doing?"

"Sorry if I scared you," Paloma apologized with a sheepish smile, having seen the girl jump a bit. "I'm Paloma, Paloma Poots."

She turned, hearing footsteps, and saw Lena. "I wonder if only Durmies will take this class," she said, after greeting the other exchange student.

Caleb walked into the classroom to see two girls in there. They must go to Drumstrang he thought. "Hello ladies" Caleb greeted and took a seat somewhere in the room. Caleb slouched in his seat and waited for the professor to come in.

Hades walked in and saw girls but then he turned and saw familiar brown hair and knew it was Caleb. Caleb is always the one to slouch. "Girls" Hades greeted as he walked past them. He sat next to Caleb. "The more you slouch the more you ache with pain" Hades joked with him. "So did you have fun in here with all the girls" Hades joked to him again. Caleb was always picky when it came to woman.

Dueling. Angel loved dueling. It was, according to her, the most useful lesson they taught at Hogwarts. She'd missed dueling.

In the classroom, there were a lot of Durmies. She reognized a few of them. Slinking into a seat by herself, she waved.

"Hello," Paloma greeted the other boy, recognizing him from Flying class. Caleb, wasn't it? She gave a small smiled to the other boy as he came in, and waved at Angel when the girl got to class.

She counted the students. Six, even number so far. She wondered if anyone else would show. . .

Lena smiled at Anya. "I suppose I'm fine," she smiled, though it wasn't a sincere one. She nodded at the other students who came in and decided to stare at the ceiling until the lesson began.

Damian's jaw was mulishly set as he entered dueling class. It had nothing to do with the class, of course. In fact, prior to that morning, Damian had been looking forward to dueling - his mentor was teaching it, this year.

Then, he had gotten that letter, and it had ruined his mood for the rest of the day. As long as he didn't talk back to any professors (especially Master Chaos) or start fights in the corridors, again, he ought to be fine.

That, however, would be easier said than done.

Damian's blue eyes flitted over the occupants of the room: a group of girls he didn't recognize, another girl and a guy from Slytherin, and then a Gryffindor. The boy didn't really know any of his classmates, that well, so he decided to just take a seat near the front, in the desks just in front of the two other guys. He leaned back in his chair, arms across his chest, his posture clearly challenging any to mess with him.

Damian noticed the girl waving to him, beckoning him to join her cluster of students. He managed a small, polite smile and gave a minute shake of his head. He'd be fine where he was, and class should be starting at any moment.

Besides, he wasn't exactly in the best mood for making new friends - more like enemies. Socializing could wait until his temper wasn't on the verge of boiling over at the slightest irritation.
