Ode to Joy

Casey walked into the music classroom and headed straight for the xylophone that had been basically his since through out all the previous years he had no interest in learning a new instrument at all. Picking up the mallets he began to play. He was in a trance and didn't know what was going on around him.

He knew that this was his talent but he kept it a secret not even his brother knew about it for which he was glad because he wasn't sure what his reaction would be. He set the mallets down and waited behind the xylophone for class to begin.

Dani came into the classroom, holding her guitar in one hand. She had detested this class, but it was one of the most relaxing classes there is, so why not take it? She sat down by the boy with the xylophone, and she turned to speak towards him. "Hello," she began, "how's your summer?"
