Personality: From the time she was a kid, Iris has been totally independent. Never had a proper family or even friends to lean on, she learnt how to get on by living in the streets. She is blunt but genuine and doesn't care about hurting people's feelings as long as she is speaking the truth. She can be critical and judgemental, and takes a while to trust people. At the same time, she is very outgoing and talkative, but she can also be mean towards people who treat her like dirt. She is confident, sure of herself and if ever insecure, she masks it. She craves attention since she no one took ever took proper care of her when she was young. She is very stubborn and can keep arguing until her point is proven.

Iris is an excellent fighter, having learnt various techniques from different places she's visited. Flying is one of her strongest points and uses it to her advantage whenever. She doesn't like paying much attention in lessons and feels that sports should be given more priority.

Overall history: Iris' father was a dark wizard who had few but loyal followers. The Aurors had tried to capture him and even nearly succeeded once but he managed to escape. He experimented on her using a de-ageing potion, making her a year younger than her actual age. After this incident, she was separated from her twin sister, Kaitlen, and never saw her again until this year. Her mother is a drunkard who doesn't care much for her or Kaitlen, leaving them both to fend for themselves.

She was living in an orphanage for nearly three years and was first adopted when she was six, but was bought back after a few months when the parents claimed that they 'couldn't handle her.' She was adopted a few more times but ran away from all homes each time. The orphanage stopped putting her up for adoption and she ran away from there as well when she was ten. She found shelter on the streets and while doing odd jobs, was also able to find out about magic and learned how to control her power.

When she was eleven she lived with a couple for sometime and they decided to keep her. Since they travelled a lot and took a care, she surprisingly realized that she liked them. And for once, she tried to stay out of trouble. When she was in her third year of Hogwarts, she ran into Kaitlen and was shocked to discover that they were twins and that Kait was living with their mother in Greece. She decided to visit but when she arrived, the two sisters were kidnapped by their father's acquaintance and tortured at his home.
