Personality:
Overall, Devyn is not the nicest person to talk to. She is snappy, easily annoyed, and just plain rude. She constantly raises her eyebrows in disbelief if she doesn't like a person. Really, she doesn't like people in general. She was grown up in a high-class Muggle environment and expects most things to stay that way. She tends to speak her mind, and this irks people from talking to her.

Devyn isn't exactly the best person to try new things, either. She's not adventurous and would rather sit in the comfort of her couch and read or write. She also dislikes the thought of getting involved in pranks. She used to be absolutely terrible in dueling until she had to improve, and even though she's rather decent at it she'd avoid it when she can.

She has a secret passion for writing and whenever she feels angry or stressed, she would turn to her writing as a way of releasing her stress. At her best, she is actually a caring person and she'd listen to you if you were interesting enough for her. She is also a good speaker, though she doesn't really convince people of anything often.

Overall history:
Devyn Lancaster was born into a rich Muggle family, and she was their only child. As a result of it, she grew up in the lap of luxury, receiving everything she had ever wanted every day of the week. Growing up with actors meant that she was on television from a young age, though she ended up being better in modelling.

One day on set, however, peculiar things started happening. Even though Devyn swore she had nothing to do with it, most of the flowers in her dressing room stopped wilting, and things that were suppose to be in her dressing room would be found in somebody else's. To stop these crazy things from happening, the producers put her off the set of films and shows she was supposed to be on.

Devyn never went to Muggle public school, since her parents were scared her weird events would ruin their reputations. Instead, she stayed at home and was taught by a tutor, and even from early on Devyn hated school. Because of her isolation from other children her age and the fact that she couldn't model or act anymore - which is what she loved doing - Devyn grew bitter of everyone and everything around her. She forgot about her happy childhood, and instead focused on getting it back.

One fine summer day, Devyn received a letter to go to a school named Hogwarts. It was a place for people like her. Even though Owen and Catalina were ecstatic about sending their daughter to boarding school so they don't have to worry about the chair being moved in crazy places, Devyn didn't feel as glad. She protested for days, but eventually, she had to go to Hogwarts.

At first, she refused to make any friends on the train. She sat alone and wrote in her notebook for the first time. She was sorted into Slytherin, though she never really found out why. She found solace in her notebook, and gradually she opened enough to make a few acquaintances in her house and in a couple of others, but no real friends.

Meanwhile, Devyn excelled in her subjects. Her numerous hours of writing and reading textbooks paid off. However, if there was one subject she needed to improve on, it was her dueling. She had to practice with a Gryffindor from her year group who was brilliant at it, and out of jealousy she developed an aversion to her. However, Devyn's dueling did improve, so she was glad about that.

Instead of crawling back to her parents' luxurious home after Hogwarts, Devyn decided to take on a completely different path. She decided to take a year off an explore the world, and finally figure out what she really wants to do in life.
