Watching Camellia eat her treats, Lena smiled at the thought of the young thing growing to be the biggest owl she had ever owned. Then again, she was the only owl she'd ever own, so there was not much value in that. She chuckled as she felt Camellia's feathers nuzzle against her head; they were tickly against her bare skin.
Looking back at her empty parchment, Lena sighed. Her lip quivered as she tried to think of what to write. Nothing came to her head, and the assignment was due the next day. She swore, lying down on the sofa as Camellia continued to watch her struggle.
