    Freefall Empty Freefall

Post by Aquila Turrow Mon Apr 30, 2012 11:13 pm

Aquila stood on the edge of the cliff, feeling the wind go past him. He looked down at the drop below him. It was long, he was under no false impression that there wasn't a possiblity that going off the cliff could go very wrong.

But if he timed it just right, fell straight and went to the right part of the water...

Of course in the middle of winter with the ice waves turning up wasn't probably the best time to try such things...

But when did Quil ever think. Shrugging the boy looked down, said one prayer for luck and jumped, letting out a slight whoop of joy as he plummeted through the air.

Rose was wandering idly around looking for rocks, not pretty ones or smooth ones but big, jagged one that could weigh tons. She had a plan in her mind for a long time and decided it be best to do it now. She blinked as she looked up from where she was crouched down to find someone jump from a nearby cliff. She practically ran like a jackal towards the person and tried to grab his collar. She cursed lightly when she almost had it but it missed.

Rose stood up pulling her wand out from her leg holster. "Locomotor Turrow!" she screamed and pointed her wand at the falling boy. If the spell hit, he would freeze in motion and she can bring him back up. She prayed silently that it hit.

Quil was flying along when all of a sudden.. he well..

    Wasn't.

Pouting slightly he looked around him as he was frozen in the middle of the air.

"Well this is interesting," he mused slightly tilting his head to look back up where he came from, trying to find out who was doing this.

Rose's eyes were closed when she prayed then opened them and looked down at the cliff and made a sigh of relief as she saw Turrow frozen in midair. So the spell hit she thought triumphantly. She then made an upwards motion with her wand to bring Turrow up.

After a few moments, she still has her wand pointed at the now inch away from the ground Turrow. She made a downwards motion forcefully that would make him hit his bum with the ground. "What in the name of Merlin where you thinking Qui!" she screamed at him, her tone was of worry and anger.

"It's freezing cold down there! You might've died!" she added growling in frustration as she curled her fists.

Aquila blinked slightly as he found himself on the ground. He looked at the girl who was yelling him for a moment, and then looked down at the ledge at where the water was. Where he should have been.

"Aww," he pouted slightly, his eyes grinning though, "What did you do that for? I would have been fine."

He looked up at the girl again, and grinned, "Hello Rosie."

Rose narrowed her eyes at Turrow. "Qui you shouldn't jump when the ice waves are coming in!" she said before sighing.

She twirled her wand in her hand, thinking. "No you wouldn't now shush" she said before grinning at him. "Hello to you too QuiQui.".

Aquila grinned impishly, "How would you know? Have you ever tried?"

    He laughed to himself.

"You have ruined my afternoon Fun Rosie, so you better find me something else to do. Got any suggestions?"

Rose shrugged "No I haven't but I wouldn't let you die trying" she said before wincing at a thought.

She raised an eyebrow at him. "How about I use you as a training dummy?" she said.

"What is with all you people and this death hang up," he shook his head as if it was the sadest thing he had ever head, of course he was still grinning so who could take him too seriously? "You just got to go with the flow. Worry less."

He waved off her suggestion, "Pfft, thats training thats no fun at all. For fun, you have to have a little bit of mayhem, a dash of adventure, a whole wack of what you normal people would call "stupidity" and absolutely no planning of any kind."

Rose rolled her eyes but decided to play Turrow's game. "Fine no more death hang-up" she said holding up her hands in defeat.

She raised an eyebrow at him. "Well we already have the 'stupidity' part covered" she said grinning at Turrow. "Mayhem? Still you. Adventure? Definitely me" she said chuckling. "Now since you have two of the qualitites what do YOU suggest?"

"Well I would suggest jumping off the cliff," he grinned impishly. "But since some of us have deamed that "Unsafe"...."

He sighed dramatically and looked for an answer. After a moment his grin turned slightly more mischeivious and he gathered some snow in his hand.

    "I suggest we do this!"

And with that he flung the snow in her directing.

Rose let out a slight yelp when the snow hit her face. She glared at Aquila before a grinning evilly. She picked her wand up and levitated pieces of snow around. Then she flicked her wand at Aquila's direction sending bits of snow at him.

Quil braced himself for the snow lauging as it hit. He wipped some off his face and gave the girl a mock glare as he grabbed another handful.

    "OH its on now, Rosie."

ANd then letting his second attempt fly at the girl he got to his feet and started to run. The snow war had begun.
