Scars

Leaning towards her as she spoke quietly, he barely caught her words. But he had heard them. Swallowing hard, he stepped back. What the hell did you say to an orphan? And if he left now he'd look like a monster.

"If you ever need someone to talk to," Julian shrugged, biting his lip, "you should talk to one of your prefects or head of house. It's their job to make sure you're alright." Nodding, he smiled weakly.

"Fine." He rolled his eyes, holding his hands up to his shoulders.

Sophie looked at him and shook her head. "Thanks but no thanks." She said once again looking at her feet. She would much rather not talk at all.

She looked over at the door and sighed. "I'm going to go. You can keep your reputation and we don't have to talk any longer." She said glad he backed off. She walked toward the door and sighed wishing she could have bumped into a nicer person.

"Your choice." Julian said with a shrug, "I can't force you, now can I?" Pausing, he tilted his head. Well, he could, but he wasn't going to. After all, he preferred to have Lisette and Ninette not pissed at him because he'd forced someone to talk to them. "But if you ever do, go find Lisette. She's more understanding about, well, everything."

Raising a hand in farewell, he sighed softly as she left. Well, it was good to finally be done with her. Humming softly to himself, he continued into the dining hall.
