Personality: Being raised in a pureblood family has it's advantages - they helped mold Dean into what he was ever since he had begun at Hogwarts: Sly, cunning, powerful and manipulative. None of that seemed to change after Dean had met Alazer, who was in the same house as him at Hogwarts, as well as Dean's sister.

Throughout the years his traits remained the same, disliking muggles and mudbloods, but he got softer - especially after his nephew was born. Not allowed to see him, however, made him bitter toward Alazer and his wife - causing him to gain a slight edge of anger.

Overall history: Dean had had a hard life - with not fitting in during his childhood, being 'different'. Almost as soon as he reached the age able to comprehend magic had his parents thrusted it upon him. The first time he had been most excited must have been when he had received his wand at Ollivanders, just before he needed to start at Hogwarts - it fit him perfectly. He had been sorted into Slytherin house, along with his sister and Alazer (who later married her.) They had their group, as did many others in the school - going along, hanging out, classes, hexing others - just the usual stuff.

It wasn't until his fifth or sixth year that he began divulging into the dark arts. He'd always had an interest in it, but only then (in his senior years at Hogwarts) had he began to really get into it. He learned a few dark things from the books in the restricted section of the library, some useful curses and a term, but he never did find out what it meant. He noticed his sister and Alazer getting closer - which put him on edge a little bit, causing him to indulge deeper into the dark arts.

After graduating, he looked around for any type of death eater organization - but he couldn't find any. In his disappointment, he killed a muggle from distraught - although he had no feeling of grief over the matter whatsoever. Ever since then - he's been on the run, hiding at an undisclosed location, watching over Certh from whenever possible. He even sent him a snake as a birthday gift - having some knowledge of parseltongues in their lineage helped to distinguish if he had had the ability to speak the language.
