    First Sighting Empty First Sighting

His eyes gazed at the sun as the crowd moved around him in that so manner humans traveled around in. It was annoying, sitting in the slow moving mob of people when Rhys knew that their was no way in hell he was supposed to be here. That car was hit him- hard. It was enough for him to close his eyes and pray to the God above him for forgiveness.

Then, she woke up then to Viola. His master. The one who had changed him into a vampire.

It was a strange adjustment, especially when she barely let him outside. The mentor had let him become burnt once, just to show him the consequences, but ever since then he had stayed within the cool walls of the cave, listening to the rustling of the insects and dripping of water within.

Until now. Finally, she had let him borrow one of the jewels she so often wore around her neck in the form of a ring so long as he returned by nightfall safely. "Safely" meaning the safety of others, of course. This was his first test- being alone within the mob.

Viola was near, of course. He could sense her looming gaze. But, he thought as he twisted his ring around, it was the thought that counted.

And the sky such was bright that day.

Aragorn wandered around the square looking about as awkward as all get out. Standing at about five foot six inches with short, messy blonde hair and smoldering grey-green eyes, he felt quite a bit different. Those wouldn't have made him feel awkward, and they certainly weren't the reason. He was wearing muggle clothing, not wizards robes. He had forgotten that he would be wandering around Europe, though he had planned it the night before. You see, Azorat was a city where vampires and wizards came to live. Not to mention, he'd heard rumours of a Mafia gang rising up. But those were just school wide rumours that no one could believe because they came out of the mouths of liars and cunts.

He coughed a bit, a cold that had developed a few days ago had turned his once moist mouth and throat into a dry and rugged terrain. He cleared his throat and sniffled a bit, cracking his neck to make himself more comfortable.

Aragorn bent down to check that his wand was still tucked into his sock, sniffling a bit some more as he pretended to tie his shoe. As he crouched, he felt like he had eyes on him everywhere and it didn't so much frighten him as freak him the hell out.

He stood up with a sigh, adjusting his wife beater so that a bit of his raven tattoo showed from the hem. He glanced around again to see if anyone was approaching him, a thought popping up into his head, Couldn't I just find someone that would talk to me? Without staring and making me feel out of place?

Rhys had his nose stuck up in the air, his blue eyes watching the clouds above him with curiosity. Was this how the sky always looked? Or had it changed in the past months?

An alarm went off in his head, a warning for the next moment that he wasn't quite used to. Instead of stopping his feet, he kept going forward, only to trip over someone tying their shoes. In an instant, he rolled forward and back to his feet naturally, as if this wasn't a spectacular movement. Rubbing the back of his head, the vampire looked back at the boy apologetically.

"Sorry, mate," he said, "Didn't mean to-" He broke off. "Do I know you?"

Aragorn's throat slammed into his knee as someone tripped over him, catching him off guard and jerking him into the ground. He coughed roughly and looked up, meaning to snap and tell the other guy off but the kid's response made him stop. He coughed a bit more before shrugging in response, though he knew the answer was yes.

Actually, it was a sorta. Aragorn had never actually had a full conversation with him but he'd passed him in the hallways of Hogwarts. Their houses were friendly enough, and they had the same amount of house points so there wasn't any competition between the two. He stood up, rubbing his throat and speaking in a hoarse voice, "Depends. What school you go to, eh?"

Rhys helped the boy up and gave him a strong thump on the back, the most comforting thing he could muster. The soft sound of blood rushing through Aragorn's veins was beyond distracting, especially if he was going to keep sputtering like that.

"Hogwarts," he replied gruffly, "I haven't been their in a while though." He looked up at the sky again, squinting into the rays, "I got into an accident,"

He turned his gaze back to the Ravenclaw, waiting for an introduction, even though he had not given one himself.

"Oh yeah? Have you been contacted by the school yet for cutting classes?" He smiled at Rhys, trying to be a little humorous but knowing that it definitely wouldn't work. He was distracted for sure, by what Aragorn probably didn't want to know. He cleared his throat once more and held out his hand for Rhys to shake, "Aragorn Hawthorn, third year Ravenclaw. Nice to er... finally meet you."

"What accident did you get into, anyways?" he asked while he waited for the older boy to respond.
