One minute this, the next minute that.

The whole thing happened so fast. One minute, she was sat on her bed, having a nice tea-party with her penguin, Mr Yellowberry, and her imaginary friend Leslie, and the next she heard screaming, crying and shouting. "Shh, it's okay Leslie. We'll be okay. Don't cry," she cooed, stroking her imaginary hair. Her mother appeared in the doorway, coughing and screaming for Tiana to go to her. "Tia, you need to come with me!" she shouted above the noise, holding out a hand. "Where are we going, mummy? Can Leslie come too?" Tiana asked, getting up and skipping merrily to her mother without a care in the world. "No, Ti. We have to get out. Give me your hand, now!" Tiana obeyed and took her mother's hand, not a second too soon. The floor caved in, and she was left dangling by her arm. She was hoisted back up to safety as the fire lapped her knees, and a flame scratched the back of her neck. With a loud crack, Tiana and her mother were gone. To the seaside. Away from home. Away from safety, yet away from danger...
