Myth Lesson 3 4th year

Roxana walked into Mythology with Mana on her shoulder. She was now normally seen with her kitten. Looking arouns she wondered where everyone was. Shrugging slightly she sat down and laid her head on her desk bored. She laughed as Mana sat in front of her and batted at her face. "Mana your a silly kitty." She smiled and wiggled her fingers in front of Mana and started playing with her.

Sithis made his way towards the class, and he had his bag in over his back, and his and hidden in his right hand side of his wrist. As he entered he saw a female. He noticed her she was Roxana he sighed and simply shook his head as he made his way towards a desk and sat on it slowly.

Alec walked into Mythology yawning and rubbing the back of his neck, absentmindedly. He hadn't had a good night's sleep and, therefore, a bit tired.

Giving Nonomyth a small nod, he greeted Roxana with a wave and a small smile, and sat down in one of the back seats.

"Achilles," Pierre said as he entered the classroom from his own office. "One of the greatest warriors ever known. That will be the topic of this days lesson. Now," he said as he studeid his students with his cold eyes. "Can anyone tell me anything about Achilles's beginning?" he asked them. "And I would advise you, Miss Luna, not to bring your pets to class. You don't want to earn yourself a detention over something so trival," he said, eyeing the girl from his house.

Alec didn't even look up when the professor came in, keeping his eyes closed for a bit until it seemed that no one else would answer the question. Sighing, he opened them and turned to Professor Lamoureux.

"Achilles was the son of Thetis and Peleus. When Achilles was a baby, it was foretold that he would die in battle. To prevent his death, his mother took him to the River Styx which was supposed to offer powers of invincibility and dipped his body into the water," he answered, "But as Thetis held Achilles by the heel, his heel was not washed over by the water of the magical river, so that became his 'weak spot'."

Annie ran into the classroom before bowing to the Professor. "I am so sorry I am late, sir" she said, apologetically. If one were to look closely, her hair was a bit wet having had a visit to the lake before she came here and lost the time. She gulped "They also said that Zeus and Poseidon had been rivals for the hand of Thetis until Prometheus, the fore-thinker, warned Zeus of a prophecy that Thetis would bear a son greater than his father. For this reason, the two gods withdrew their pursuit, and had her wed Peleus."

"And Peleus entrusted Achilles to Chiron the Centaur, on Mt. Pelion, to be reared."She awkwardly shuffled on her feet. "Can I take a seat now Professor?"
