Erica came in the classroom this class always gave her the creeps sometimes she sorta felt weird coming here.Erica took a seat in the front.Erica heard rumors of this place.Erica knew the meanest professor taught this class in the 90s then he died.Erica got her book out and looked around at the potions set up in front of the classroom.Erica eyed them and she was nervous looking at them.Erica tried to hide her fear.Erica still liked potions but some of the stuff was a bit scary.Erica sat and waited for something to come and haunt her but she knew it wouldnt haunt her.Erica did hate Defense Against the dark arts more then this.

Serena Middleton walked into the Potions class room taking a seat near the back she propped her feet up on the desk in front of her and crossed her arms across her chest. This class was one of the hardest for Rena; she hated how you had to read so much, and reading made her head hurt. Reading has always been so hard for her. It just made the day so horrible having to come here. She lived for the weekends.

Vivian slowly walked into the potions classroom with a sense of dread, her bag hanging loosely off her left arm. Nothing good ever came from this class. Still, she was happy to find new people there. Perhaps they'd bring a bit of light.

Flopping into a third row seat, Vivian waved congenially. "Hey Marc and everyone else. I don't think I've met you two..." she trailed off, glancing from the girl with Hufflepuff robes to the one clad in Slytherin colors.

"And you don't need to," Serena said rudely rolling her eyes at the girl who had walked in and broke the silence. She tossed her head her hair flying off her shoulder and waited for someone else to say something. There was always an answer when someone said hello and tried to introduce themselves, and Serena thought it was her job to end that, though she had just reacted to the girl her self. She had defeated her own purpose. She shook her head as if to get Reid of the thought all together.

"Well, I didn't say I did," Vivian retorted, irritated at the girl's rudeness. Who acted like that? Still annoyed, the Ravenclaw went on, "But it is good manners to reply when someone asks you their name."

Vivian leaned back in her seat and sighed. Why did something always happen in this class? Once before she had apparently 'disrespected' another girl when all she'd did was comment on the class. People really needed to stop jumping to conclusions. One day, it would be the end for all of them.

Breathing deeply to calm herself, Vivian offered a sad smile at the girl. "Sorry, I was just curious as to know my fellow classmates. I assure you it was a purely amiable question. But if you'd like to sit in silence that's your preference."

Jessica stumbled clumsily into the room, nearly tearing her robes as she tripped. She stood still and closed her eyes, taking a few deep breaths, before putting on a signature fake smile and taking her usual seat. She nodded curtly in Serena's direction, before turning her attention to the empty seat beside her. Certh's seat. She sighed a little and faced the front, her eyes seemingly distant while she thought. For once, she wanted the lesson to be over as soon as possible. She just wanted to sleep...
"Hey Vivian," Jess said a little overly sweetly, and her eyes widened. She coughed, trying to make her fake happiness seem like a sore throat, and hoped she didn't catch on.

After his previous lessons, he had been somewhat glad to have a class that he had enjoyed: Potions, with Jessica. She had been his potions partner for the past term and they did well together, even if they weren't 'together' in their first year, he knew what his feelings had been.

He walked into the classroom again: It was dark, dimly lit. But that was how the dungeons usually had been since the school had opened. Certh's feet carried him to the usual desk where Jessica had been sitting beside, could have been waiting but by the way she had been sitting she appeared to be in pain. The chair creaked as his body fell upon it and he looked over to the Slytherin girl. "Hey again, Jess" He had only hoped that he hadn't interrupted Jessica and the Ravenclaw of their conversation.

Vivian looked up when Jessica and Certh entered the classroom. Easily forgetting the argument she was in, a dumb and pointless one in her opinion, Vivian grinned at the Slytherins. Nodding curtly to Certh, she then raised an eyebrow at Jessica. That seemed a little... forced.

"Hey, Jess," she greeted her anyways, smiling once more to hide her silent question. "How are you?"

Jessica rolled her eyes at herself, smiling a little at Certh when he entered the room.
"Hey," she grinned at him, turning her attentions back to Vivian and biting her lip a little nervously. She didn't know why her voice had come out like that, she liked Vivian, but she just wasn't having a good day. She cleared her throat again and tried to speak. "Sorry about that. I'm alright, just having a bit of an off day. You?" she smiled a little, but as per usual not her real smile. This was just a day when she didn't feel like using it.

"Oh, sorry about that," Vivian replied sympathetically. She drummed her fingers on her textbook's top page, thinking about her own answer. "I guess I'm okay. Just stressed about some things."

The Ravenclaw laughed lightly, shrugging off her morbid response. She spun her wand around her fingers and hummed softly before focusing on Jessica again. "By the way, how'd you do on that last potion? I ended up destroying my cauldron."
