Personality:

Eli, in a couple words, is a good person. He hates seeing other people upset, especially people he cares about, and will do anything to cheer them up. He became an auror mostly because he wanted to protect people from being wronged.

He tends to smile a lot, and tries his best at most everything he does. He is a very hard worker, but also enjoys taking time in life to stop and smell the roses.

Overall history:
Eli's parents were both extremely religious muggles. When he was born with magic abilities, they immediately began trying to find ways to purge him of them, believing that performing magic was an act against God. After attending his first year of Hogwarts, administrators at the school and in the Ministry became aware of Eli's family life, and decided to 'rescue' him from his parents. In doing so, they also discovered his sister's unique ability to temporarily drain wizards of their magic and use that magic intuitively, and they took her away as well in order to be examined.

Once free of the restraints of his family (and entirely unaware of his sister's fate) he fully immersed himself into the wizarding world. In order to further distance himself from his family, he became a devout atheist. It wasn't long before he was titled head boy of Hogwarts, and won several other awards in recognition of his natural talent for magic. He graduated with high marks and went on to receive a full scholarship to auror training. Once the war began, he set aside his school work and got a job in London at the Leaky Cauldron in order to help with the fight.
