    Statue Empty Statue

Post by Tovia Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:50 pm

It had not been hard to find the man. Tovia had barely bothered looking. Part of the angel had wished it wouldn't be this easy, but the demon had been almost a beacon of sorts, making the hunt one of the easiest things the heavenly being had encountered during the past day.

The male body damaged, (who knew bodies could not withstand the pressures of angelic souls?) Tovia had become the female. This body had longer hair than the male, red curls that bounced down to her bare chest. She hadn't bothered with clothing yet; it all seemed itchy. Even the slightest touch was a bother in this body virgin to the world.

With a step, the angel appeared within the house, in the room belonging to the creation of the Fallen himself. Eyes flashing an electric blue, the being stared, unblinking, around the room before falling on the man himself.

    "Son of Brimstone...
" The soft voice cracked and died out, the ancient language passing through human lips for the first time. The angel took a deep breath, its lungs swirling with the warm air before speaking again. "Son of Brimstone, be still. I require your attention,"

Even as the woman stood, it was evident the being was not human. It's body was completely still, eyes un-moving, lips parted in an almost peaceful grace. Even it's freckled skin seemed too marbled for reality. One could have dded a halo was labeled the girl as a statue in a church.

" You speak the language of God? I assume it was taught to you by the Fallen himself, she paused and took in a deep breath, unfamiliar with the amount of oxygen a body would need. Surely this trip had taught her the woes of human breathing, if anything, "Or is English better for you?"

Djinn tilted his head, gaze still fixed upon the window. "I have not moved since you arrived," he drawled, answering in the same language.

"All the First Ones speak Enochian. It was our first tongue." The demon cast a bored glance over his shoulder. His movements were no more human than the angel's; they were too precise - clear affectations of human behavior. "Is only Lucifer called 'Fallen' in your culture? We call his outcast brethren Fallen, as well."

"English, Enochian. I speak many tongues." He looked back to the window. "What does an angel want with Lord Satan's most disgraced?" Djinn asked, tone insolent. "Come to erase me from existence? Wouldn't that just figure."

Tovia's lips parted upwards in amusement for a split second, then returned to their normal place. The demon was not like the humans, from what she could tell. His movements, his words. She wondered if his scent was different as well.

"Forgive me," she replied, "It is a common saying back at home. May I sit?" Her legs grew weary, even from the short tie she had stood. Such bodies seemed weaker than expected. Despite her tired state, she waited for the permission of the demon.

"No, he is not Fallen. He is The Fallen. There is a difference," Her face flinched at the sound of... his name. Even coming out of the demon's mouth, it was surprising. "That... is a name we cannot say in Heaven. I have not heard it in many years,"

The angel tilted her head and let out a laugh that was much like the tinkling of bells. Pure amusement. Djinn, the Brimstone, looking towards death? It was... silly. Human silly.

"I am not here for violence, one of Brimstone. I am here to help you in your quest against The Fallen," she paused, "I have heard of your problem and wish to help,"

Djinn ignored her request to sit. He never had been big on courtesy. If the angel expected politeness from him, it could wait until he felt inclined to offer it.

"Fallen, the Fallen, same sentiment. Yet another thing about which my Father would deign to boast." Djinn smirked in amusement at her flinch. "Did you think I would fear to speak my creator's name? Or are you just accustomed to it being taboo? Fear of his name is for those lesser than myself."

Djinn inclined his head consideringly, and suddenly, he was no longer at the window. Instead, he stood face to face with the angel, shrewd gaze fearlessly meeting its own. Reaching up his hands, he gave it a light push on the shoulders, forceful enough to throw off its center of balance to fall to the seat of the chair which had repositioned itself.

"Sit," he intoned. His gaze, no less intense despite being brown instead of red, raked the other being's form in a most unseemly manner. The demon gave a faint leer, then stepped away.

"Rumors abound throughout the universe, Heaven's Child," Djinn pointed out. "There is no... absolute proof that I have any sort of quest against Lord Satan. Even if it is true, why would an angel aid one of the First Ones of Hell?"

As the demon grew more insolent, Tovia's expression grew brighter in an almost mocking manner. Her slender hand reached out on stroked his face, soft fingers tracing over his short beard.

"Fear?" she mused, "I do not frighten at his name. I mourn the loss of a brother," Eyes innocent, she began moving her hand down his jaw. Her gaze seemed, far off, as if she was focused on a memory long forgotten, "He was beautiful then. Is he still?"

When pushed into the chair, the angel's expression grew dark. It had never come across a situation like this before. Ignorance to it's power, of course. THe demon was accustomed to beings in control.

A smile flitted across the angel's face. Her legs crossed with annoyance, a blue light twinkled in her eyes.

"I do not accept such treatment from a failure, Djinn," She reached up, appearing to be stroking his face again. But, in a flash, she had streched up far enough to grab his hair and pull him down to his knees beside her. Anger never crossed her face, only a meloncholy smile.

"Dear, sweet Djinn," she cooed, one hand holding him down, the other caressing "You forget you are a demon, don't you? A lowly one, at least for the moment. I could finish your life in this instant with little effort. Yet... you choose to mock me," She scratched underneath the demon's chin daringly, "You will stay at my side like this until I say so,"

She uncrossed her legs, appearing to be at ease now. "Why do I wish to help? Maybe, it is because I am sick of seeing a fallen brother rule such a desolate place when the Gates are always open to him,

"Or, maybe... it is the fact I wish to see Hell covered in war and blood shed in Heaven's name," Tovia gave a small shrug.

"Never said that you did," Djinn replied, tone bored. He gave no response to her contact. "And I highly doubt any of the Fallen are what your sentimental kind would consider beautiful."

Djinn made no struggle against being dragged to his knees, no response, save for a satisfied gleam that flashed across his eyes. He remained where he was, seemingly unbothered by the position he found himself in. The angel spoke, apparently liking the sound of its voice.

After a moment, Djinn's lips twisted into a smirk. Then, he began to laugh.

"You know so little," he intoned, voice clearly amused, eyes flashing victory. "You presume to know how I think, how I function. So cute.

"I have never forgotten my circumstances, not once in my entire existence. Just because I know you can destroy me doesn't mean I fear it. Even if I perish this moment, even without your help, I've already succeeded. I'm right where I wanted to be."

Djinn smirked up at the angel. "Heaven's Gates have long since been closed to my Father - why else would he be chained like a mangy mutt in the Pit? Even if they weren't, he'd never return. He's got a new family, now.

"Hell will see war. And it certainly won't be in the name of Heaven. Whether you wish to see this come to pass is up to you, Heaven's Child," Djinn practically purred, "but I am not afraid of you, and I am not afraid of Death."

Tovia looked at the man, if she could call him such. All of his actions were unsuspected and new to the angel; Part of her pondered whether she could actually work with the creature. She continued to stroke the man's face in an attempt to hide her growing resentment.

"I do know little, Sir Djinn," she bent over so her face was closer to his- a sign of respect for the angel, "I expect fear. I expect respect. Yet, I fail to receive it and I do not see why.

"Heaven is always open to him. He just fails to see it," she tilted her head slightly, "Do you always refer to him as Father? Is he a good one?"

She removed her hands from his face and placed them into her bare lap. Leaning back, the angel looked off into the window with a content smirk. "I do not wish you to fear me. I wish to lend you power while you are... in this state. Do you want my help? My offer is not permanent,"

"I told you," Djinn responded, "fear is for being lesser than I. Respect is something I hardly give to my own maker. The best you can hope for is civility."

The demon pulled away unhurriedly as the angel released him. He gave a rather nasty smile. "Lord Satan is the sort of father who casts his most loyal into shame to sate his own paranoia," he said. "Don't attribute any warmth to my calling him Father. It is merely what he is: the being that sired me. There is nothing filial about it, from either side."

Djinn regarded the angel a long moment, his words in Enochian when he spoke again. "The possible advantage to myself is obvious, but before I accept, I want to know what's in it for you, Heaven's Child. Is it really just because you wish to see the Damned tear one another limb from limb? That you think you might somehow liberate a fallen brother?

"I don't buy it. Tell me truthfully. What's your end of this deal?
    "

Tovia ran her hand through his hair again, her smile shing so warmly it was almost insolent and mocking towards the demon. "Then civility I shall expect from you, dear one,"

The heavenly being let out a breath and leaned back farther in her chair Crossing her legs and running her free hand over a cluster of freckles on her right knee. Hesistant, she began her story.

"I find it sad that all of Father's attention goes to his lost ones." She took a piece of his hair and twirled it slowly, "To his fallen and to his flawed creations. Even humans are placed above Angels. And why? To destory the planet? To torment each other?" Tovia let out a small giggle, "I'm tired of it. I want them all gone,

"In your war, do not be afraid to let the battle flow over into the mortal world. Do not be afraid to kill all of Hell," she paused, "Because, you know, fear is for ones lesser than us."

Djinn didn't bother to conceal his amusement. "And what purpose would killing all of Hell serve?" he asked. "It's not a matter of fear, but practicality, Heaven's Child. If there is no one to rule, there is no kingdom, making rebellion and war pointless before it starts.

"I can promise mortals shall not escape war in Hell. Furthermore, I can assure that Hell and Earth shall be shaken to their very cores. Not even your Father will be interested in the inhabitants of the kingdom that shall be built on the ashes. That, I can assure you - not complete annihilation of both," Djinn told her. "If that is your aim, commission an Archangel."

"Archangels would not," Tovia decided, leaving back on her chair. The front legs of the seat wobbled in the air, an action the amused the angel. Despite being eons old, the host seemed to have the simple mentality of a child.

"Do you wish to accept my help, young one?" she purred, "Or shall I leave Earth without help?"

Djinn had long since lost interest in the conversation. Who would have known angels would prove so very uninteresting. He moved to his customary place, staring out the window, the wheels in his mind churning with thoughts most could only ever hope to fathom.

"I am not that much younger than yourself, Heavenborn," he stated, tone bored. "Furthermore, I already told you - your help is not necessary to my goals. They are already well on their way to being achieved. Your assistance would only speed the process. Give your help, or keep it, either way I shall not be your puppet."

Tovia watched the demon move to the window, unsure of what to retaliate with. she sat quietly for a few moments, her mind working options and ideas. Finally, she stood up and joined the demon at his spot, a soft smile upon her face.

"Puppets are dull. Heaven is dull." she replied, "I think I shall join you,"

A smile spread across Djinn's features, eyes gleaming brightly. Apart from that, he remained unmoving.

"It is most rare that anything surprises me, Heaven's Child," Djinn intoned. "I congratulate you on having succeeded in doing so." He turned his head towards the angel, taking in it naked human mask with intense scrutiny.

"This should prove a most interesting alliance."
