Neil's immediate impression of the shop was a positive one, as he looked around the place. He had heard about the reputation of the place and hoped that it was worth his time indeed. He was a fan of sweet delicacies, though he didn't like the cheap candies and items like that.

Sitting at one the tables near the window, he ordered a plate of the dish and drummed his fingers on table, just observing the people. He wasn't much into socialising, but he could keep up a conversation here and there.

Acadia took one last glance at the menu. "Une banane chocolat crêpe, s'il vous plaît," (one banana chocolate crepe, please) She ordered in perfect French. She had, after all, spent several years of her life here now. Oh, how she missed Ireland...at least she had one good friend in France, no matter that he was a Squib.

Acadia sat down at a table near an older-looking boy. She glanced at him every once in a while as she waited for her crepe. He looked familiar, somehow. The waitress came sliding out with the delectable-looking crepe. The smell of pastry encompassed the cafe and made Acadia feel at peace. She loved this place. The crepe now tempting her tastebuds, she busied herself with taking a bite...and hit something hard with her front teeth.

"OW...what the--?" Her face contorted into a look of disgust as she saw the culprit: a bit of plastic spoon wrapped neatly inside the crepe. Dropping the pastry at once, Acadia remarked rather loudly, "I'm getting my sickles back." Acadia's English was tinted with a recognizable Irish accent. Even though she had lived in France for some time now, her father, Irish through-and-through, must have somehow got it stuck in her head.

Realizing that probably everyone in the cafe had heard her, Acadia blushed and turned towards the person nearest her, which happened to be the boy at the next table.

"Er...sorry about that," She apologized, giving him a weak smile.

Neil glanced at the nearby stranger and gave her an amused smirk. "Ah, no need to apologize for the almost cursing. That too, if there was something wrong with the food. I was told that this place is one of the best there is and I'd hate to be disappointed." He stated. "I mean really, can't believe pretty much no one these days," he said and shook his head.

"I'm Aveneil, by the way." He introduced himself and nodded towards the girl. "You go to Beauxbatons, yes? Sadly, I haven't seen you around," he smirked.

Acadia noticed the light amusement on Neil's face. Acadia didn't find the situation funny in the least. Regardless, she kept calm. Her temper, unfortunately, could be inflamed at the slightest offenses. She hadn't learned to control it. Acadia was a loyal and compassionate friend, but her initial gritty exterior caused many people to be uncertain of her level of friendliness.

"I come here every week and this has never happened before," she told Neil, showing him the large bit of plastic. Irritation was still evident in her tone and mannerisms. Acadia looked towards where the waiters were gathered together. They had heard Acadia's furious comment, and each were trying to persuade the other to tend to Acadia's needs. The guy who made the crepes and had not noticed the plastic spoon was obviously pretending he hadn't noticed. For a moment, Acadia glared at the back of the crepe-maker's head, then she turned back to Aveneil.

"Nice to meet you, Aveneil. I'm Acadia," She offered her hand respectfully to the older boy. It was a little awkward considering they were at separate tables. "And...no, well yes, I mean...I will be going to Beauxbatons. I'm eleven, you see," she stated matter-of-factly. "What year are you? Dunno why, but you look awfully familiar," Acadia asked.

"Um...miss, is um...I hope that...quite sorry... may I get you another crepe?" The waiters had finally forced the crepe-maker to attend to Acadia himself. He fidgeted with his apron nervously.

"I'd rather not risk chipping another tooth, thanks. Some tea, please?" She requested, and watched him nod and walk sullenly away. "Oh no. I was too harsh on him wasn't I? I triednot to be angry. Mum would've been on me for that," She muttered, more to herself than to Neil.

"It the time for new things I suppose," Neil remarked with a laugh. "Are you some sort of a princess or something?" He asked and raised an eyebrow at the girl, as he noticed the all the waiters actually managing to spare some time for the child. Even more surprising that she was entertaining these things.

He gave her the briefest of smiles and reached over to shake her hand. "Acadia; pretty name." He nodded his head thoughtfully at what she was saying, before looking at her with a puzzled expression. "I'm in fifth year, but how is that I'm familiar to you? Is your family well acquainted with my parents?" He asked.

Rolling his eyes at the dramatics in front of him, he couldn't deny that he was bit intrigued by this girl, seeing as she was rather grabbing a lot of attention. "No, not too harsh at all," he shrugged as the man walked away. "They did serve a bad dish."

"A princess? That'd be right awful," Acadia answered, shuddering at the thought. Her parents certainly treated her like a princess, considering she was their only child. They lavished her with gifts, but Acadia would rather have been able to spend time with her mum and dad instead. As it was, they were both workaholics. She rarely saw her father and her mum was always busy with design. No princess for her. She'd rather be an Auror...that, or a renowned singer/musician. Her dreams were very erratic, but those two hopes had always remained intact.

It wasn't until Neil shook her hand that Acadia realized he was rather handsome. Acadia wasn't intimidated by cute older boys. She was still at an age where boys were not one of her top priorities in life. "Thank you," Acadia responded to the comment about her name. She rather liked her name herself, actually. She considered it to be one of the best gifts her parents had given her.

"I've no idea why you look familiar...perhaps my mum fit you with your robes? She's a designer. Has her own shop and everything," Acadia shrugged, nonplussed.

Just then, a waitress came back with her tea. "Quite sorry for everything," she said cheerily, before tripping on a chair and spilling the entire contents of the cup on Acadia's dress. Acadia jumped up, the hot tea burning her legs. Acadia gave her a death-threat look. She opened her mouth to start ranting, when the waitress whisked out her wand, muttered a spell, and her dress looked good as new.

Heart racing with fury, Acadia tried to control herself. "Thank you. I won't be coming here again," She stated simply, then moved over to sit in Neil's booth. "Mind if I sit here? I think that table I was sitting at is cursed," She said, allowing a smile to cross her face. She had quite a sweet smile, really, though those who made her angry never got to see it.

"Awful? Well, you certainly seem to be enjoying the attention," Neil observed and just shrugged at her. Being from a pureblood family, he was rather used to seeing girls behave as though they deserved the best in the world, when they clearly didn't. But Acadia wasn't that sort of high pretentious behaviour, for which was glad. He was never the one for pretences, though he did tend to hide his true colours at times.

He raised an eyebrow as the girl mentioned her mother. "Designer and own shop; mind telling me what's the name?" He asked, still curious. Maybe she was one his designers. His family made sure that he only had the well branded wardrobe. Frankly speaking, he hated all the attention they were giving him, which was probably why he was a bad boy by night and golden boy by day.

His eyes widened slightly at the scene in front of him and he just grinned to himself a bit. This is turning out to be quite the amusing evening, he thought. Nodding his head, he said, "Yes sure, go ahead."

Appearances were deceiving. Though Acadia seemed to thrive on attention, she quite despised it. A people-pleaser at heart, she knew intuitively when her temper had raged too far and she had got on someone's bad side. In fact, her anger problems hurt her just as much as it hurt others, though she would never admit the fact.

"People give me way too much attention, sometimes. Like they're scared of me or something," Acadia pointed out, seeing a waitress look in her direction then quickly shift her gaze elsewhere when she saw Acadia look back. "It's kind of funny..." She said weakly, not sounding amused at all. She was drawn back to bad memories of entire wizarding families forbidding their children to play with "that uncontrollable child." Ever since her magical aptitude coupled with her temper had caused a brick to fall on a girl's head, children had learned to stay away from Acadia O'Callaghan. It was a reputation Acadia wasn't very fond of...she didn't mean to drop a brick on the girl's head...at least, she didn't think it would actually happen...but she had recovered...several weeks later...Acadia visibly winced, memories rolling in.

Realizing she had drifted into a bit of a daze, Acadia snapped back into reality. "Yes, my mum is Juliette O'Callaghan. WardRobes is her brand. Silly name, I've always thought," She commented, grinning. "So, how is Beauxbatons? I'm not sure if I'll like it there. I was hoping to get a letter from Hogwarts," Acadia said, disappointment evident in her tone. "And your parents, what do they do?" She added. She was always interested in what jobs other wizarding folk went into.
