Personality: Ophion has ever only had one thought. Power. This was the way he could secure his future, and this school was the perfect way to do so. Getting himself into certain circles, knowing the right people and playing his cards right. People had often said that he should try his hand at politics when he got older, but he had no interest in such trivial things.

Ophion cares very little about things happening around him, most of the time letting it pass him by. This could be said because he is so wrapped up in his own ambitions, but it's so much more than that. In his mind, he believes he will leave this world behind and transcend to something higher. The things happening on this plane couldn't matter, could they?

No one can say that Ophion is a coward. Though he prefers to not be directly involved in the conflict, if it pushes against him, he will stand his ground. Never one to run from a fight, even when he knows that it is pointless and that he cannot win. This could be judged as foolishness, and perhaps it was, but he didn't care. It was the way to make his mark on the world.

Overall history: Ophion's father was a member of the Magical Law Enforcement within the Ministry of Magic when he was growing up. His father, along with countless others being the ones to track down and handle dangerous wizards. His mother was also a member of the force, which made growing up rather interesting. All the time, he would hear stories about his parents capturing criminals and shipping them off to Azkaban, and this fascinated him greatly. Some that they had captured however made Ophion question his parents. Surely, certain acts weren't so terrible were they? Whenever he spoke to them about this, he was always given a talking to about right and wrong, but in his eyes that was just nonsense. Growing up, he would get into trouble for using magic, on animals or other young magical children. He found it amusing how they would cower whenever he jinxed them, or feigned a spell. This of course, he would never hear the end of. Lectures, punishments, the list went on.

A little after he had gotten his first wand, he was given the news that his parents were murdered by a wizard that they had been trying to capture. Though this saddened him, it made him see things much more clearly after that. If they had been stronger, dabbled in the forbidden arts, they would have stayed alive. If they had the power, they would still be there with him. Over time, he got worse. Now, he was no longer only playing with the children, he was killing animals to experiment his power. After this was found out, he was under strict supervision with his magic.
