hiding skeletons (thirdies)
Stepping into the classroom, Savannah glanced around, brow furrowed. They were getting a new professor, weren't they? Having Headmaster Chaos as a professor was never going to last long, as cool as it was.
Shaking her head sadly, she slipped into a seat, hoping that the new professor was at least half as good as the Headmaster.

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
Airiana skipped into DADA and slipped into a seat, crossing her legs and smiling. The new year had started very nicely already and she was hoping it would continue that way. She pulled out her LotR:Fellowship book, followed by the textbook for the class.

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
"That's a good book," Lila commented at the blonde slytherin girl as she walked into her third year class. Two more kids... just like her others classes.
These little demons just don't get this is an important class in the future, she shook her head with a smirk on her lips. Or, the class had been important for her. DADA had been a helpful one while she had gone out into missions to kill.
Never in a million hears had Lila thought she'd find herself teaching it though. Then again, Sweden and Finland were becoming slow in jobs so she had no other choice.
"Oh, we get to learn about Acromantulas today," the dark haired woman said with a smile. "Five points to the one who tells me where acromantulas tend to usually reside." Looking at her watch with a dramatic pause, she looked at the two girls, "Now... go."

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
Glancing at the Slytherin as she entered, Savannah frowned. What, was she invisible? Not even a smile to acknowledge her existence. Some people. Crossing her arms, she leaned back in her chair, staring glumly at the ceiling.
Flicking her gaze down at the sound of a voice, she quickly dropped the legs of the chair back onto the ground, sitting up straighter at the arrival of the professor.
Acromantula? Weren't they the huge spiders that lived in - oh. Shaking her head, she pointed in the direction of the Forbidden Forest, smiling up at the professor. "There."

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
Airiana blinked when the professor spoke to her. She quickly closed the book, slipping a bookmark inside to mark her page. She smiled nervously, "I agree."
She had expected the new teacher to be older, though most of her current professors were very young. She chewed on her lip as she asked the question. Savannah got the chance to answer. She wasn't exactly specific, though she was right.
She smiled again, nervous still, "Not... not just the Forbidden Forest, though. They tend to reside in heavily forested areas and in jungles." She didn't want to sound like a know-it-all.

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
Raising an eyebrow at the young brunette, Lila crossed her arms as she tried her best to maintain a straight face. But at the end, a small smirk formed on her lips and Lila nodded.
"Right you are little demon," the dark haired woman said as a light laughing scoff emitted her from lips. "But because of your smart ass remark, you'll only get three points." Looking over at the other girl, Lila nodded, "Five points for you. Like you said, they do tend to reside in heavily forested areas in the jungles and are native usually in Southeast Asia, Borneo, perhaps.
"So Acromantulas, what do you think they like to eat?" Lila asked.

Grinning at the nod she received, Savannah's eyes lit up. The little demon comment was odd, she had to admit but - only three points? A smart ass? Her grin sliding off her face, she replaced it with a frown.
Shrugging at her question, she slumped her shoulders, still frowning. "I don't know. People?"

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
Airiana stared at her desk as she listened to Savannah answer. Certainly that was right, or at least she herself though so too. But she knew there were other things they fed on. She looked up and said, "They feed off of their dead as well."
Air suddenly realised that the professor had said little demon. What was with this new teacher? She was so odd.

"Can't take a joke, can you?" Lila teased the younger Gryffindor with a small smirk as the brunette demon's smile had turned into a frown.
"But yes, they do like to eat humans and the dead ones as well," she exclaimed loudly as not to loose the attention of her students. "Those large, hairy spiders with their multiple eyes and legs like to eats humans.
"Adding to that, did you know that it is said that we swallow four spiders a year to a full pound of spiders during a lifetime while we're sleeping? Good luck sleeping with that in your head," Lila grinned as she looked at her students with a gleeful smile.
"So anyways, why do you think these monsters were created for?"

Airiana raised an eyebrow and searched quirked her head to the side, ignoring the humor that her teacher showed. She leaned forward in her seat and set her hands on her desk as she spoke, "Well, considering that they are rather large and will eat any human that comes near their dwelling except, maybe, the ones that raised them, I'd say that they were created so that they could protect someone's belongings."

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
"Of course I can take a joke," Savannah huffed, crossing her arms. "It's just that yours wasn't very funny. That's all."
Raising an eyebrow at the professor's attempt to terrify them, she shook her head. So? A lot of things wanted to eat them. Just because Acromuntala were creepy, that didn't make them any more terrifying than say, a Manticore.
But the thing about eating spiders? That was bloody disgusting. Shuddering, she clamped a hand over her mouth, covering up the sound of her gagging.
"Are animals really created for a purpose?" Savannah frowned, absentmindedly repeating Ava's words in her head. "Don't they just, you know - exist?"

Airiana looked at Savannah and shrugged, "Well, Acromantulas were created by humans. So really, they do have a purpose. Since then, though, they've just existed." She felt she needed to clarify on the existence of the acromantulas, as her fellow student didn't seem to know that they weren't naturally made.

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
"It's called a sense of humor and being able to poke fun of yourself," Lil laughed a little, "How about next lesson you take a poke out of me and we're even. That turn your grump face upside down," she joked with a chuckle.
"Well then, that's all for today," she stated as she looked at the girls. "I'd tell you to do homework but I think you've got the grasp on the spiders pretty well. So farewell and remember, a pound full of spiders every year," Lila smirked as she crossed her legs once she had reached her seat. "See you next time."

Re: hiding skeletons (thirdies)
Robin ran into the classroom to find... no one.
"I can't believe I missed the whole class!" She scolded herself.
What if the lesson came in the exam? What if the next lesson they were going to have a practical?
Stupid... everything. I can't believe I got lost. AND I overslept! She yelled at herself inwardly.
Argh... she might as well leave.
