    No grudges Empty No grudges

Flipping through some books, Dylan had to resist the urge to throw something. All he wanted was a book that helped him increased his control over magic, or at least get a little bit more powerful. Dylan knew, that he lacked power. His parents just said that he lacked the ability to show his power, but Dylan just thought they didn't want a near squib after Laura.

Grabbing another book, Dylan saw that one just talked about potions.

"You'd be throwing your money away if you buy that book," Ksenia said as she walked towards her fellow Slushatel Prefect with grace and reached for a book that was on a shelf just a foot in front of the boy. "If you want to have more control over your magic then you best look into the Occlumency and meditation books rather then Potions. What you are looking at now is just false advertising only trying to get your money," she stated simply, her own eyes distracted by the book in her hands. It was about magical bonds and the possibilities that they carried.

Jumping when he heard a cool voice, Dylan saw it was just Ksenia. Listening to her words, he decided to take her advice and put it away. "Hey Ksenia," The boy greeted happily. Finally, someone gave him some good advice.

"It's a good thing I already take Occlumency then," Dylan mused, looking around. Glancing at her book, Dylan felt very faint interest for what she held. He had no use for Magical Bonds- or any use of knowing stuff about them.

"How did you know what I was looking for?" He asked his fellow prefect, curiously.

"Veer, you are standing in front of shelf labelled Enhancements of Personal Magic," Ksenia stated as she snapped the book she was holding shut. It was completely useless for her purposes. It included nothing that she could relate to the Warrior's Vow which was much older then any of the other magical bonds mentioned there. "Stop being so clueless and take this book instead," she said as she took the book he was holding from his hands and swapped it for the one that she had just shut.

"You are still dating Alora, right? They don't teach people our age, Salazar knows why, the value of magical bonds. Probably because most people our age have too many of relationships with the 'loves of their life'," the girl couldn't help but shake her head in amusement slightly.

"Bloody smart people," Dylan muttered in reply, chuckling. Flipping through the pages, he guessed that it would be a good book to read when he was bored. Or trying to forget everything going on recently (All the problems being caused by Lena or Kait). Dylan hoped that someday, hopefully soon, that those two sorts out their differences and calls it a day.

"If we all bonded with our first girlfriend/boyfriend, the world would be screwed," He pointed out. Alora was his second girlfriend- he had one right before Durmstrang. "I'll take a look at it. I'll try to get interested, but I can't be too sure about that one." Grinning, Dylan looked around for a meditation book.

"It would," Ksenia nodded slightly in agreement. "That is why they do not teach us about things like that any more. People have become far too careless with their relationships now. You and Lora on the other hand have been dating for years have you not?" she asked as she selected another book from the shelf.

"You cannot even imagine what kind of benefits a bond can have," she pointed out as she turned back to face him.

"Yeah. Five years." Looking through the pages of another book about meditation, Dylan thought it was good. "Then why don't you tell me? You seem to be the expert on this." Grinning, he tucked the book under his arm and gave her a pointed look.

"You know, you act different from everybody else. And, there is like an air of mystery around you. Not the mischief one, the one where it makes some people wary." For years, Dylan had been drawn to Ksenia simply because her unique attitude. He wanted to find out what it was, but at the same time respect her privacy.
