Animals and plants had a strange way of calming Adele down. She couldn't talk to them and have them talk back to her, but every time they were nearby they kept her mind occupied. They had always listened to her rant and vent about life and its displeasures, and they never had the audacity to talk back and tell her it was stupid for her to do so.

She waited outside the classroom, wondering when her classmates would come.
