Lila was well aware that she had accepted the job as the new Professor of DADA and that Colin would be in the same building as her. She was able to easily steer clear of him, wanting to surprise him when the time came. For whatever reason Lila didn't want to admit to herself, she had caught herself thinking about the Astronomy Professor a little too much

Dangerous as it was to what her original job was, the new professor was glad she was knowledgeable in occlumency; if not, many people would have been dead by now.

Turning her thoughts from that morbid thought, she walked up the steps to the seventh floor. Her fingers fidgeting as she became nervous in each and every step. She reached her destined spot, a smile graced her lips as she raised her hand to knock on the door three times before opening it.

"Anybody in here?" She said, her small smile free for worry.

Colin was lost in his own thoughts, the evening dragging on, the candles burning low - though never burning out - as he sat merely gazing up at the sky. He wasn't even looking for anything in particular. One might find it funny that the man chose to spend his day off doing just what he did every evening he taught, but...

This had always been Colin's passion. He took the opportunity to lose himself in the sky whenver he could.

Nothing could clear his head better than the stars and moon.

"Hmm?" the knocking brought himself out of his revie, bringing slightly unfocused eyes towards the staff member that was intruding on his evening, "Yes what is-"

He paused for a moment, remembering the features of the face before him. His lips curved upwards.

"Lila," he spoke softly, "Looking for another lesson? Or just finding me on freak chance?"

"Well if I remember correctly, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, you didn't exactly give me a proper first lesson," Lil said as she smirked as she walked towards him with her hip swinging slightly, unconsciously. "And I might have remembered that you worked here so, I thought I'd stop by."

She shrugged as she made her way towards his leaning position on the balcony. Lila had actually mentioned the Astronomy professor to Mav and needless to say, the substitute professor became a quick, protecting older brother. But she remembered when she spoke about him, hardly believing that the more she thought about it, the more she realized she probably sounded like a teenage school girl.

But Lila had quickly covered her feelings before Mav could even make fun of her. Of course, the moment that Stark would find out, he'd probably tease her to no end as well. So had kept it a secret for the most part.

"Maybe a little," she said as she used her index and thumb finger, placing them close together to signify that it was only a little. "Maybe I took a job here at Hogwarts," Lil smirked proudly.

He felt a smile tug at his lips as his eyes followed the womans approach. He found himself lingering on the movements of her body, eyes trailing appricatively before he pulled himself away, clearing his throat with a slight blush creeping across his features.

"Maybe you took a job here huh?" he raised his eyebrow, that small smile turing into a larger smirk. He leaned forward more, unconcsiously drifting towards the woman. "And if we were to have taken a job here, just what job would we have been taking?"

"So no offering me a proper lesson, huh?" Lil smirked when there was no response, "It'd be sad to have to go find another Astronomy professor out in the bars?" She leaned onto the opening arch of the balcony, her eyes traveling his attractive face features. "That's a sad thought considering you're more than capable, don't you think?"

The young woman's smirk matched his as she consciously made a step forward towards him, her head tilting ho the site. "Mmm," Lil sounded out loud as she looked at him mischievous, "Maybe I'd taken Defense Against the Dark Arts, but you know, it's still a maybe."

Lil placed her hands behind her back as she leaned closer to him, her lips smiling as she teased him lightly, "And what would be your reaction if I said that my maybe was turned into a yes?"

"I don't know - I do have a full plate you know. Students practically banging down my door to learn, begging me to teach," he gave her a rueful smile, since that was practically the opposite. He was finding Astronomy seemed to gain less and less students each and every year. It was a real shame. "However, I just don't know if I can trust your education to just anyone. So I suppose I can fit you in."

He winked and gave the girl a laugh.


"My reaction?" He paused, pretending to think about it for a long moment, "Well, I suppose it would be most pleased. Though, I would be obliged to remind you that as a head of house, I do believe that puts my position, above yours."

"Banging your door and begging you to teach," Lil mocked jokingly while still leaning against the frame. She placed her hand on her chest, her voice raising an octave and emitted a fake the dreamy voice, "Well I feel honored Professor!" Her voice returned back to normal, her smirk toned down a bit as she leaned in, "Well, considering none of you students are doing what they so often do, you could start teaching me now."

The ends of her hair were being pulled on by her nervous hands, twirling a strand every other second as she stood up straight.

"Head of the house, fancy title," Lil smirked as she walked over to the edge and placed her hands on the rail as she looked up at the sky. "Most pleased, huh?" She grinned, not looking at him, "And why would that be?"

"Hmm, I suppose I could start now," he spoke softly, leaning back and continuing to gaze at her, "But I would hardly know where to start. Where would you care to start? I'm sure the basics would be far too dull for such an enchanting evening."

He rolled away, turning away from her to let his gaze wander back to the night sky. Bewitching. That was what it was. He had never known anything to be more enticing, than the evening sky.

He felt his face heat up, and he cleared his throat slightly, "Well, it would be an opportunity to spend more time with you, to get better acquainted. I feel I would rather like that."

Fidgeting slightly, his gaze flicked to her for a moment and then back at the sky.

"Tell me, Lila, what do you see... when you look at the sky?"
