In the end, Beth never grew out of her rebellious phase. She still seeks that same thrill that breaking the rules gave her, and she found that thrill in the army, then the Sons of Galen. As an admitted adrenaline junkie, Beth is prone to long periods of intense boredom. During these, she can be fickle, hard to deal with, and snarky. However, while she is on an adrenaline high, drunk, normal-high, or any other notable exception to the norm, Beth acts like an overactive child.

Overall history:

Bethany was born in the United States, and moved to Ireland when she was fourteen. The move was hard on the young girl, as clashes in culture caused her to get in trouble often. Eventually, the girl's frustration reached a point where she felt the need to rebel, both against her parents and the world in general. She started with small things, like shoplifting, vandalism, and drinking. The more rules she broke, the more invigorated she felt, and acting out went from an outlet of her frustration to an addiction.

Things got so bad that her parents had to make the decision to send her to juvy, or military school. Thinking that it was more likely to turn their daughter around, they chose the latter. Oddly enough, Bethany found herself enjoying it, a lot. The rush of combat was unlike anything she'd ever experienced. So the instant she turned eighteen, the girl joined the army.

While she was there, she developed a close friendship with one of her commanding officers. When he was injured and dismissed from duty, she left as soon as her tour ended, saying it was because the army became too tiresome for her.

Once she had left the army, Beth began searching for a new occupation to fill her time, but everything she considered was either too boring, or outside of her qualifications. Then, she discovered the Sons of Galen, and the sheer excitement of it was too much for her to resist.
