Dressing style: Tynan prefers muggle dress. Even while teaching he wears muggle suits instead of robes. When not teaching or when he is being lazy, Tynan will wear some sort of graphic t-shirt with jeans. When forced to wear robes (i.e. dances and formal events) Tynan prefers to sink into the background. Robes make him feel awkward and not himself.

Personality: Tynan is not submissive. Just because he is shy and has confidence issues doesn’t mean he is someone that can be rolled over. Quite the opposite, actually. What is true for Tynan is that he is secretive. He doesn’t volunteer information unless directly asked and will try at all costs to avoid confrontation. This, however, comes up very rarely as not many things bother him to the point of confrontation. What does get on Tynan’s nerves are those that think they are better than those around them for one reason or another. He hates it and does not tolerate it.
Alone, Tynan is more of a home body. He envelops himself in the study of Alchemy and furthering the field of Transfiguration. His ultimate goal is to recreate the Philosopher’s Stone; what he views as the one true union of both Alchemy and Transfiguration. Other than that he loves teaching and takes extreme interest in every student that walks through his door. Basically so long as you walk in his class with the wish to learn he will do anything he can to facilitate that wish.

Overall history: Tynan’s life was a life most would see as enviable. He was born as a Metamorphmagus and was a child prodigy when it came to Transfiguration and Potions (He created his first potion when he was five using his father’s potion ingredients when his father was at work. The potion which he dubbed ‘Vegetacandi’ was able to turn Vegetables to candy.) What he also had was a father who deeply encouraged his education. Using his ties with the Ministry, Alexandre was able to acquire a permit to teach his son while Tynan was off during breaks. This allowed Tynan’s passions to grow until he could perform Tranfiguration spells that were extremely beyond the normal limits for a child his age, so by the time he was 15 Tynan was helping his father create new spells and potions for the entire world.
However, what Tynan’s parents didn’t see was his school life. Tynan was embarrassed to be a half-blood and yet so good at what he loved. Even though he could far outmatch any of his pure-blood class mates he never truly showed his potential while at Beaubaxtons. This was because during his first year Tynan was showing off his Metamorphmagic, extremely proud of what he could do, and a seventh year told him that only freaks and half-breeds can do the things he could. Well, he never really recovered from the embarrassment and seeing as there were no other metamorphs around him Tynan thought it must have been true. Tynan’s parents, of course, just attributed his lower grades to being bored. He never had the heart to tell them it was because he thought he was a freak while at school.
