Mars was not paying a lot of attention. He was more interested in getting more sleep. The professor said something about plasma and gravity and mass, but it all fell on deaf ears. It wasn't that he didn't know the stuff, he just didn't care.
Slouching forward, Mars laid his head on the desk and closed his eyes. If it was important the professor could wake him and demand an answer and Mars could look in his book real quick.

Hyun paid close attention in the class, listening to everything that the professor said. He had always been interested in the universe and stars, mostly in an artistic fashion, but he wanted to learn more. As he listened to the lecture, he got ideas for painting, or just drawing. Perhaps if he drew a star imploding, or disappearing in the sky. He was more interested in drawing it than learning about it, but he paid attention nonetheless.
Opening his sketch pad, he took his pencil and wrote Star at the top. His ears still caught every word that was being said by the teacher, but his hand moved along the pad, drawing the moon first, followed by multiple stars. He took several of his colored pencils and made the sky a dark purple/black color to make it seem right, the stars changing color from gold to white.
In the background, he made several of them falling from the sky, smiling down at his work. He wasn't sure if he would get in trouble for it or not, but beside him was another student falling asleep at the table. Surely he wouldn't get in any more trouble than someone who didn't pay attention at all, right?

Aria listened intently to what the professor was saying, though her mind was really elsewhere. Not truly elsewhere; simply a different - a frigid night, freezing rain pouring in through the opening of the tower proper...
She sighed, balancing her quill on its tip. The girl didn't need to take notes. It was one of the many advantages to possessing an eidetic memory. Aria remembered everything and that was both a blessing and a curse.
