Ice Coffee Is SUPPOSED To Be Cold

Daniel had been working at corner brews for a little extraa money. He was waiting tables. He was in the midst of cleaning a table when he heard a table calling to him. He wasn't really paying attention to the person was but he sighed when he heard the call.

"excuse me, Garcon?"

Danni forced a smile as he ran over. "yes how may i help you?"

Casey grinned. She had managed to get into the Corner Brews without Danni noticing her. She was wearing a large and rather obnoxious hat and kept her face down when she called him over. She pushed her drink out in front of her when he came over, saying in a whiny, complaining voice, "My iced coffe is too cold." With her last words, she turned her face up, beaming, to see him looking away in exasperation.

"madam you ordered an ice coffe, its supposed to be co-- casey donohoe..." dannis look of tired annoyance turned into an ear to ear grin as he hugged his best friend tightly. "you came to visit me at work, why?" he laughed a little. "not that i dont love it but i know youre busy"

Casey grinned, flipping her hat off and putting it on the table. "I figured you needed a dose of pure awesome to get through the day with all the stupid people," she joked. "But seriously, I wanted to see how it was going. Had any homicidal thoughts yet? I could definitely help carry those out." Her grin turned a bit wicked.

Danni yawned and played with his neckerchief slightly. He was waiting to go home but he'd enjoy his good friends company. He sat down and stretched.

"the people are insufferable, but the jb pays well, so i cannot complain all that much." Danni spoke with a grin that had been absent for a while

Casey smiled at her best guy friend. "Seriously, I could help you out with the stupid people. I am not afraid to be blunt if I have to. I won't even get you fired!" She grinned. "What are you planning on doing with your newfound wealth? Build a castle with towers that brush the clouds? Charter a plane around the world? Buy the world's biggest wardrobe?"

Danni sighed. The truth would have to be told to casey eventually.

"i want to get on a plane, to new york.... and maybe take you and gorn with me if youre willing, but theres nothing for me in london casey.. i want to be on broadway. i belong there... here im a nobody. My voice is not appriciated.."

Casey's mouth dropped open. "Wow. You're- you're serious? Wow." She sat for a minute, letting it sink in that he was really going 6,000 miles away. "I understand why you're doing it," she finally said. "But I don't think I can go with you. America and I have not exactly had the best experience together. And I don't think I want to leave Liam. But I'll definitely come visit you as often as I can. And I'll miss you." She put her hand on his and smiled bravely.

Danni felt tears sting at his eyes. His best friend was staying behind. Soon he just lost it and broke down sobbing and threw nhis arms around her neck.

"i-i promise... i'll stay until we graduate...then-then ill go. i-i can't leave yet..."

Casey put her arms around Danni, giving everyone staring her patented GLARE OF DEATH ™ until they turned away shamefully. She petted his hair soothingly. "Shh Danni, Shh. We'll be ok. We'll never, ever stop being friends, you go that? I heard there's this Muggle computer thing called Skype that's just as good as Floo powder for talking. A lot less uncomfortable too." She pulled back and smiled at him, keeping her hands on his shoulders. "See? And when you're a famous Broadway star, you can afford to have me flown, but until then, I'll risk trans continental Apparation to come see you. It will all work out, you'll see."

Aragorn slipped inside of the shop with an irritated expression. He had a huge headache and people didn't make it any better. A customer from this particular shop that was leaving slammed into his shoulder and knocked him against the wall. He hissed curses under his breath before he calmed himself down and he ruffled his curls.

He let out a puff of air and stood taller, allowing a bright and charming smile onto his face as he looked around for somewhere to go.

Daniel looked up to see gorn walk through the door, used his neckerchief to dry his eyes and forced a smile and ran over and hugged him.

"this is a surprise... i thought you hated places like this." danni smiled "you really didnt have to dot his for me you know. i was going to come home" he added with a small chuckle

Casey turned to see who Danni was talking to and saw Aragorn standing in the room. She straightened with a jerk, hissing under her breath. She heard Danni whisper "Behave!" in her enteral direction, so she forced a smile on her face. It was definitely noticeably forced. "Aragorn," she said, through gritted teeth. Her head jerked in a nod to him. "It's... good to see you up and around." She was now lying through her teeth... literally. "It's been a while." That at least was cold hard fact.

Aragorn grinned and hugged Daniel back, nuzzling the shorter boys hair. He laughed, though it was an unhappy laugh, and shrugged, "To have a good relationship with your partner, you must be willing to make sacrifices." He looked around with a wrinkle of his nose and sighed, "And this is one of those sacrifices."

He looked up as Casey approached, regret stabbing him in the heart. He internally slapped himself. He should've known that with his luck, Casey would be here to glare him down, which he knew he deserved.

"Uh, yeah," He smiled nervously. "Thank you, it's good to see you, too... and not just your fists in my face." He was trying to make a joke, but he felt like it failed miserably.

Casey watched the two boys being playful and loving and wavered. Maybe Danni was right and Aragorn really had changed. He never used to be like that before the coma. He'd seemed kind of distant and unwilling to be touched. But now he seemed more loving and caring. A tiny corner of her heart forgave him and her glare softened. A little.

Casey grimaced. "Yeah, sorry about that." She actually meant what she said this time. "You are so lucky Danni loves you, cause it probably won't happen again unless you're terrible to him." She glanced at Danni who had his head in his hands. "What? I'm being honest here."

Daniel sighed as Casey spoke. These two played cat and dog a lot. He was rethinking his new york decision. If left here alone together they'd kill each other. Daniel smiled warmly and touched gorn's cheek. "You are probably the sweetest person ever. Since im still working you want anything? its completely on me. so get whatever." He smiled and turned to casey and laughed a little. "Honesty or not, no need to be mean." He adjusted his neckerchief slightly and sighed tiredly. This job was worth the money. And at least gorn and casey were here.

Casey fake gasped. "You didn't offer me anything Danni! I am definitely SO offended right now." She smiled to show she was teasing. "Except I don't want anything. And I wanted you to stay sat." She stuck her tongue out. "I'm not taking it back. I meant it when I did it and I don't regret it now. I just won't do it again."

"I don't expect you to take it back it all, I really truly deserved it." Aragorn grinned, looking at Daniel as he offered something to eat or drink. He didn't want Danni to spend money on him, though he figured a way to give it all back would be just put as much tip into it as possible.

"I uh... I guess a Hot Chocolate would be alright, though you don't need to pay for anything unless this is a place with muggle money... then I can't pay at all." He said, regretting suddenly asking for anything at all.

Danni chuckled "i get a discount gorn, i work here. don't you worry about it. It's not that expensive anyway." danni smiled and walked over to the counter getting gorn his drink and paying for it.

"there" he said handing the drink over to gorn "it didn't even cost that much."
danni toyed with his neckerchief, trying to avoid the whole new york concept. he didn't want to upset gorn, and it could wait until he was home. He sighed quietly. "so what were you up to today, gorny?" he asked nonchalantly
