Overall history:
Topias Kuurinen was born to the ex-Mayor of Oulu. His birth alone received a lot of publicity from the media until his father threatened the newspapers to stop publishing images of him and his son. It took a while for the pictures to die down but when they did it was a sigh of relief.

Topias grew up around politicians and his father's rich friends so he lived a very sheltered life. He was used to being spoiled by presents as a boy and he went to rocket and went to NASA and all of that. He especially loved astronomy and in school his science results proved his determination to be what he wanted to be.

When he was still a toddler, he had a sister named Aino. He didn't get on well with her because she took his place in the family as being someone to pay heed to. He still bears a grudge against her and she dislikes him for his temperament.

Topias discovered his signs of magic when he was about six when he was playing with discarded bricks and they spontaneously exploded. Aino saw him and she called him a freak. His parents thought so too even if they didn't say it. He still tries to hold on to the belief that they still love him because he still loves them.
