forever young

Josh was at the park with his parents. He had gone a bit far away, but he was seven, so basically grown-up. His parents weren't that far off, anyway. They'd easily find him.

The young boy sat crouched over a lone daisy. In his opinion, flowers were for girls, but there was something special about this one, how it stood alone and grew. Josh giggled childishly, and reached out a hand to touch it. He recoiled, though, as soon as he saw a beetle on it. The boy stared wide-eyed. Wow. This was truly amazing, in his seven-year-old eyes.

Lily was enjoying her day off today and had decided to take a stroll thru a park and see what she could find. Granted Lily was only 16 years old sometimes she seemed way older than that because of having to grow up so fast.

Walking thru the park she came across a little boy who seemed very interested in a daisy. She could not remember a time when she was allow to just enjoy time like that. When she was his age she was locked up with four grey walls to look at.

Walking up to the little boy she could not help but smile,

"What have you found there, anything interesting?"

Josh looked up wide-eyed, to see a girl very much older than him. Yuck, girls! The young boy studied her for a second, before turning back to the daisy. It hardly mattered that his parents told him not to talk to strangers.

"I found this!" Josh said proudly.

Lily could not help but smile at the little man excitement over the flowers. She remembered the first time she had seen a flower because her excitement was just about the same.

"That is really cool, I like Daisy's." Lily smiled

"You haven't wandered to far away from your parents have you?" Lily knew that there were many bad people in the world that love to hurt children, she had been around the block too many times to to fear that.
