Despite his caring and social personality, he tends to try not to be in the presence of people for too long, because he feels his thirst gets out of control and doesn't want to hurt anyone.

Overall history: Demetri Lancer was born on August 16th to witch and wizard mother and father, Cameron and Charlie Lancer. He grew up in a small town just outside of London. Before he went to Hogwarts, he didn't have many friends. He liked to keep to himself.

His mother, Charlie, died when he was 2 years old and so Demetri was raised by his father, who disappeared when Demetri was 11 years old. He used to believe that he was going to return to him, but he'd been gone for so long, that Demetri has a strange feeling that he's dead.

Both his parents went to Hogwarts for their schooling, but Demetri decided to be the first in his family to go to Durmstrang.

Demetri never knew his mother, but every year, on the day she died, he mourns for her, and tries to keep to himself. Ever since his father left him, he has had a burning hatred for the vampire. He believes that he is nothing but a deserter and a traitor. He also blames him for marrying his mother and getting her pregnant and making a half vampire son.

Though he doesn't exactly hate who and what he is, he sometimes wishes he was human.
