Overall
history: Monae was born into a typical family of purebloods, and was an only
child. Her father was incredibly strict by his methods and made sure she
was completely disciplined in all fields. Even when she was a kid, her
parents rarely showed any affection towards her and she grew up
believing that neither of them really loved her. On certain days, that
feeling broke her heart even more than others, but she kept strong.

When
she was nine years old, parents got into a divorce. Their final fight
was all a blur to her and all she could remember was her mother leaving
the house in tears. She had attempted to go after her, but her father
prevented her from doing so, despite the big fuss she made. From that
day onwards, Monae never asked for her mother and neither did she see
her again.

A few months later, her father remarried and to her
immense surprise, she liked this woman even more than her own mother.
She was also pleased that she had got a step-brother, though he was
usually quiet and mostly kept to himself. However in the later years,
she grew incredibly close to him and would go him only whenever she was
in trouble.

Grief struck her once more when her step-mother
committed suicide and it was only later she found out the truth about
her father's affair with another woman. She got into a terrible fight
with the man that day and has avoided unnecessary contact with him, and
rarely goes home during breaks from school. Her primary concern was, and
still is, her step-brother Frodo.
