Never Been Happier

James stared out across the sky, admiring the stars and the beauty of the school and it's grounds. The stars, so high up in the dark sky, that's what James felt like. He felt so high with happiness that he thought he would burst from the emotions.

Ever since he had talked to Casey, he had felt like a whole new person. He loved the way he felt around her. He could be himself, and not worry that she would judge him and never speak to him again. James had never been happier.

However, he only had one problem. He wasn't sure Casey liked him the way he liked her. Though they had briefly spoken about it, he still wondered. And also, another problem, he didn't want to interfere with her and her...ex, or still boyfriend, Liam.

He didn't know him, but she did, and he had seen it in her eyes that he meant something to her. James didn't want to come between them.

James felt lost, but sort of not lost at the same time, he just really didn't know what to do. He may not have known Casey for long, but he really was starting to like-like her.

Was being fourteen really this hard?
